Razer slashes prices for Black Friday while also throwing OSVR content on Steam

PC gamers looking to arm their desktop or laptop with an arsenal of peripherals from Razer can get their wallets locked and loaded now, as the company is knocking the prices off a truckload of products across Amazon, Best Buy, Newegg, and other retail partners online and offline. The sale begins on November 24 and ends on December 3, giving customers plenty of time to find the right Razer peripheral at a great price.

For starters, here are the discounts served up on Razer’s website:

Product Original Price Sale Price
The Ultimate Gaming Bundle $490 $400
Razer Blade Stealth (i7-6500U) $1,400 $1,300
Razer Blade (GTX 970M) $2,000 $1,850
Razer Blade Stealth Bundle (i7-6500U) $1,900 $1,700
Razer Blackwidow Chroma $170 $110
Razer Classic Bundle $280 $170
Overwatch Legendary Bundle $370 $300
Razer Kraken Pro $80 $50
Razer Mamba Tournament Edition $90 $50
Razer Firefly $60 $45
Razer DeathStalker Chroma $100 $60
Razer Blackwidow Tournament Edition Chroma $140 $90
The Victorious Gaming Bundle $370 $300
Watch Me Bundle $250 $115
Razer Blackwidow X Tournament Edition Chroma $130 $130

As for the other retailers offering Black Friday season discounts on Razer devices, the sales seem to be live now. Here are a few items listed on the first page of discounts out of 10 provided by Amazon:

Product Original Price Sale Price
Razer DeathAdder Chroma $70 $54
Razer Naga Chroma MMO $80 $59
Razer Firefly Chroma $60 $40
Razer Blackwidow Chroma $170 $110
Razer Blackwidow Ultimate 2016 $110 $80
Razer Nabu X Smartband $50 $25
Razer Tiamat 7.1 Headphones $200 $146
OSVR HDK 2 $400 $360

Notice that Razer knocked a few bucks off the latest open-source OSVR headset for virtual reality. That’s actually part two of Razer’s overall Black Friday announcement, as content supported by the headset can now be purchase through the Steam digital distribution platform (not the actual headset itself). The big deal here, according to Razer, is that universal VR content can now be acquired through “a single point of distribution.” To determine what available content supports the OSVR platform, just look for the OSVR icon next to the content’s name. A search for “OSVR” on Steam currently pulls up the following digital goods:

Software Price
Radial-G: Racing Revolved $25.00
5089: The Action RPG $6.00
Redout $26.00
TwinForce $5.00
MegaRats $20.00
VRMark $20.00
Alice VR $25.00
