Is Remnant 2 cross-platform?

Aside from the focus on firearms and integrating some randomly generated environments, the Remnant series sets itself apart from other souls-like games mainly with its focus on co-op. Both titles encourage you to team up with two friends to fight your way through the mutated monsters that await. After so many years of progress in terms of multiplatform games incorporating full cross-platform support, you might assume Remnant 2 will follow suit and let you make a group with anyone regardless of what platform they’re on. However, the truth may be a bit more disappointing. Before you make plans with your squad, here’s what you need to know about Remnant 2′s cross-platform support.

Unfortunately, Remnant 2 does not have cross-platform play between PS5, Xbox Series X or PC — and there’s no word about it being added in the future.

This means you won’t be able to play multiplayer with friends on other platforms. This will surely come as a disappointment for a lot of fans jumping into the live-service co-op game since cross-platform play is becoming more and more common. The game’s predecessor, Remnant: From The Ashes, even featured limited crossplay when it was launched in 2019.

According to IGN, the director of Remnant 2 has stated that the studio is “actively” working on implementing crossplay functionality. While it is reassuring to know it is being worked on already, the lack of any details on when we can expect it is still slightly disappointing. Crossplay can greatly boost the lifespan of a multiplayer-focused game such as this, so the sooner the team can add it, the better.

The best weapons in Helldivers 2
Co-op gameplay of Helldivers 2.

When it comes to your firepower in Helldivers 2, the weapons you procure during missions easily trounce whatever you're deploying with. The only downside is that you can never count on which ones you will find, if any. Therefore, whatever you slot into your loadout needs to be able to keep up with the threats you're likely to encounter. Most weapons tend to have a stronger utility when facing different enemy types, but there still exists a hierarchy of guns that simply outclass the others.

If you're in need of the strongest weapons to spread democracy across the galaxy and make Super Earth proud, here are the best weapons you should drop with in Helldivers 2.

Depending on what enemies you expect to face in a mission, mainly either bugs or robots, you may want to change up your weapon to give you an edge. Any of these weapons are perfect to pick based on the threat or are generally good in all situations so you don't have to think too hard.

Is Palworld cross-platform?
A Tocotoco in Palworld.

Palworld, the new creature-collecting survival game that fans have dubbed "Pokémon with guns," has become a viral hit on launch day. With Pokémon being a Nintendo console-exclusive franchise (and one of the most successful video game franchises of all time), it's no surprise that gamers who stick to other platforms are eager for the chance to capture and battle with oddball creatures in an open-world setting.

The jury is still out on whether Palworld is going to last or if its launch day sales figures are the result of it becoming a Pokémon clone meme since it was announced. Regardless, now is the best time to jump in while everyone else is learning about the world. You don't want to fall behind.
