Naughty Dog announces ‘Uncharted: The Lost Legacy’ stand-alone DLC

After going completely missing in Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, fan favorite Chloe Frazer will be returning in a new standalone story DLC.

Announced at The PlayStation Experience in Anaheim, California, Naughty Dog revealed the much anticipated story DLC titled Uncharted: The Lost Legacy.

The trailer opens up to a fully veiled woman walking through streets with people speaking in either Urdu or Hindi. After being harassed by cops, the woman sneaks around armed men and finds herself in a dilapidated building on the verge of collapse.

There, she narrowly avoids being caught and climbs on to the roof. She jumps down to another building and unfortunately, runs into some more armed men, and a fight ensues. Luckily, girl power saves the day as another woman comes to help her out and they both take out the bad guys. The trailer then comes into focus and reveals Nadine Ross, the antagonist from Uncharted 4, as the veiled woman’s savior. The veiled woman then reveals herself to be — Chloe Frazer.

Uncharted 4 was released earlier this year to unanimous critical acclaim. It was also the last adventure fans would see of Nathan Drake. This, of course, left many people heartbroken. Fans had been following Drake’s exploits since 2007, through four console games, one game on Vita, a comic book series, and a novel. And while the game has continued to live on with its robust multiplayer, fans were eagerly anticipating more story-driven action. This new standalone DLC should satiate those who have been dying for more.

As of now, it’s uncertain as to whether Drake, Elaine, or Sully will be making cameo appearances.

Sadly, Naughty Dog did not announce a release date for this new DLC, but considering it’s not a full game, it wouldn’t be too surprising to see it hit the PlayStation Store in the coming months.

Starcraft is reportedly back, from the last developer you’d ever expect
Anniversary art for StarCraft.

A new Starcraft game has been the subject of discussion for a while now, and this morning, Money Today Broadcasting (MTN) announced Nexon had won the bid to work on a new game in the franchise. In addition, Nexon has also been selected as the publisher for a mobile version of Overwatch.

The report doesn't state what style of game the new Starcraft might be, but it probably won't be an RTS. There's a lot of evidence that it will be a shooter of some sort, as first claimed last year by Jason Schreier's book Play Nice: The Rise, Fall, and Future of Blizzard Entertainment. There have also been several job listing at Blizzard that point to the development of an "open-world shooter," although none specifically stated it would be part of the Starcraft IP.

Days Gone Remastered reveals a game that was both behind and ahead of its time

Is Days Gone a misunderstood masterpiece?

That’s a question that some gamers have been asking since April 26, 2019 -- the very day that Sony’s open-world zombie game first released. A wave of lukewarm critical reviews, including a dreaded “6.5” from IGN, kicked off a minor culture war as the game’s biggest defenders went to bat for it before it was even installed on most PS4s. Whether its genuine love or console tribalism fueling it, Days Gone’s legacy has long been held up by a vocal group of dedicated fans who are determined to give it a redemption arc.

One Oblivion player visited Hammerfell a game early
A lizard looks down on a town in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered has rocketed in popularity as gamers revisit an old classic, but for some, Cyrodil isn't enough. In grand Bethesda tradition, several players have broken outside the boundaries of the map and traveled to the other regions shown in the world map, including Hammerfell — the suggested location for The Elder Scrolls VI.

You can't go to every region shown on the map, but you can visit quite a few. Players noted early on that the Throat of the World, the central mountain from Skyrim, is visible in the distance at certain points. Reddit user u/GnoblinXD said, "I've managed to find my way to both the Morrowind and Skyrim side of the border, but the walkable area does not extend very far. So no selfies from the Throat of the World, unfortunately."
