Great little toy for fidgeters
This was originally meant for my 21 mo old son to play with while we are in the car, at places where I need him to sit still for longer than a few minutes and at home when he's wanting to play with something different than his other toys. I am well aware that this toy is not intended for children under 3 because of the small pieces that come apart and can be swallowed. My son is supervised at all times playing with this toy.The parts of this toy are all hard plastic and snap on/off so they all twist around (they pieces haven't snapped off while twisting yet, probably won't till the whole thing has been worn in with a lot of use).My husband now has one, so does my son (although my son isn't too interested in it) and I have one. Each of us have it for a different reason and it seems to help with those reasons we wanted it for. I'd recommend to others who have anxiety, stress or need something in their hands to fidget with. I'm considering getting one for my 92 year old grandmother who is in the nursing home, because she sits for long periods in the wheelchair and I thought this would be a great way for her to keep her hands busy to fight boredom.

So I almost didn't get these/tried to cancel my purchase because I found out they were only 3 inches tall in the packages (which, it doesn't specific size on the site as far as I could see). I thought they would be minuscule and not fun to play with. I was wrong and so glad that my order went through instead of being cancelled. When opened up they are about 5-6 inches across, a perfect size to fiddle with. I initially planned to give one to my son and make the rest presents, but my husband opened all of them and we both found ourselves twirling them around while watching TV! The colors are lovely and bright, the product seems sturdy. Some had mentioned it as a potential choking hazard for those under 2 - for ours at least the links were extremely tight and would be very difficult for a child to separate one off, my two year old has been playing with it all week and hasn't made any move to pull it apart (I don't even think he knows it does that and would think to yank on it). Highly recommend, great stocking stuffer or gift! I taught elementary school for ten years and would have loved to have these for my more active students to play with at their desks to keep their hands busy.

We've purchased several Tangle Jrs and really like them. I have one on my desk at work and fidget with it pretty frequently when I'm deep in thought on a project. I've even wrapped it around my finger like a ring and ended up in meetings with it... My 5th grade daughter has been taking one to school to play with to keep from doodling on her papers. I let her teacher know what it was for so that it could be monitored for distraction - either for my daughter or to her classmates. In over a year, it was not taken away and I noticed a decrease in the doodles on her homework and other work that comes home. This 3-pack was given to the teacher to use as prizes in the classroom. I'm not sure what they were given away for, but I know my daughter's classmates LOVE them.

The pieces pop apart and can be popped back together. I've never lost any pieces, and neither has my daughter. I spilled salad dressing on mine at work once and threw it in the kitchen sink with dish soap. Like any plastic piece, it came clean and dried quickly. Durable.

I bought this for my students a few weeks ago. I teach pre-school special education, so I had been looking for some fidget toys for my students with autism. They are good quality and have appeared to work for some of my students (they think a lot of manipulatives or fidget toys I use for reinforcements are toys, so it has been a bit of a challenge to find something that works for them). I use the fidget toy most during circle time if one or two of my students engages in an undesired behavior to redirect them. Sometimes it will help them re-focus on the instructional activity, and sometimes it doesn't. Promising fidget toy and overall quality is nice. (It does have pieces that pull apart, so it can be a potential choking hazard in my opinion.)

Tangle toys are absolutely amazing if you have nervous habits, anxiety disorders, motor skill issues, problems with concentration, and more. Each type of Tangle has a different "feel" to it... some move quickly and loosely, some move more rigidly and slowly, and each one is as unique as the person using them! I don't go anywhere without at least one, and I have one in my desk at work, in my car, by my keys at home, and one in my bag. That way, if I forget one or lose one somewhere, I have another that I can use!

The Tangle Jrs are small enough to fit in your hand, and they can be popped apart and back together. I wear my favorite metallic one as a bracelet when I'm not using it at work or when I'm on the go. It makes having the Tangle Jr. more discreet because I can pop it apart, wind it around my wrist twice, and then pop it back together. They don't come apart easily, but you kind of learn the right pressure to use to pop them together after a while. I prefer these smooth ones, as I'm personally not fond of the fuzzy or textured ones.There is also a Therapy one that is a bit squishy if that's the kind of texture that makes you feel comfortable.

I usually purchase the three sets because I can get three for the price of one. They're not always the colors I want, but it's worth it if you like having one with you at all times, if you're giving gifts but want to keep one for yourself, or giving them to multiple different Tangle Jr. users!

DO NOT PURCHASE THIS SET OF TANGLE JR.s FROM DISCOUNT SUPPLY SOURCE IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO GIVE THIS AS A GIFT.
The set I most recently got came in a ziploc bag. It had one intact in its package, one in a very damaged package, and one that had no packaging whatsoever. The one without packaging looked used, and it also appeared to be one that someone had popped different "unwanted" colors together on. It had the right amount of connectors (18 pieces) but I'm definitely going to be giving it a good clean before I use it.
