Fantastic item. Use it every weekend. Battery life lasts long enough for my morning getaways. Wish it came with the mounting arm. I use it on my kayak and from the shore you definitely need a heavy duty pole to cast it but it casts very well.

Good but limited from shore

I bought this for myself at christmas time and have finally had a chance to use it with my samsung galaxy 7. I've been very pleased with it when using it in my canoe. If that is what you want to use it for I'd say go for it. If you are thinking of using in from shore I'd say be prepared to be frustrated. When using from shore, it constantly loses connection when casting it out. The other thing to keep in mind is that with bluetooth only it's range away from your device is limited. If you are going to use it from shore a lot, I'd suggest one of the more expensive versions with wifi and GPS.
