Never Doubt Oneplus.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This a personal opinion in regards of this phone. I have been using oneplus for more than a year now and never been let down. I bought this phone because I was using a 7 pro. Due to the hick price in the market now, I decided to give this phone a try. Believe me or not, this phone can do all compared to any higher grade phoness. My money was well spent. If you not wish to afford a 300-1000 dollar phone, this one is the way to go.

Passable, but really mediocre user experience.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a three-star phone at best, on the best day ever. I paid $179.99 for it, but even if this were just a flat $200, I'd call it overpriced. This phone lags, and has stuttery animations everywhere, so get ready for that. You can improve the framedrops some by installing a third party launcher like Nova launcher, which I have done. It improves the experience some in that regard, but still doesn't completely mitigate it. Also, it doesn't fix the really bad lag when it comes to opening applications. Just to drive the point home on how bad the stutter and lag is, this phone has a 90Hz refresh rate, but I had no idea that it was on (or even had it) until double checking the settings, because the phone's performance makes it look just like any other 60Hz display on a phone. Even so, I've seen 60Hz displays on phones that look smoother than this one. The camera is very mediocre, but does work for taking pictures, and for the price, I can't complain about that. Just be aware that this camera does not take great photos, it just takes photos. I don't have any other comments. Really just that the camera is passable, and the performance is really bad, but can be improved slightly by installing a third party launcher. If you want a phone in this kind of price range, but want a far superior experience, I would look into something like the Xiaomi Poco X3. All in all, just don't buy this one. It makes OnePlus look bad if you've ever used one of their more expensive phones before.

Solid budget device.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I picked this one up not expecting much with it being OnePlus' lowest-end offering, but I was pleasantly surprised by how much of what I'd assume is the flagship OnePlus experience had carried over to their most affordable offering. Haven't used a OnePlus phone since the One, but this wasn't as bad of a second first impression as the reviews online lead me to believe at first. Almost everything I'd like to see out of a phone is present and accounted for here. There's a surprisingly pretty 90hz display up front, the back panel is absolutely beautiful and looks very premium, and the main camera's performance is actually quite decent for a device in this price range. There's a charger in the box, a headphone jack, and an SD card slot, none of which you really see these days- not even the last two are present in OnePlus' more expensive devices! My main peeves with this device are the limited software support, the unsightly chin on the display, the awful vibration motor, and the lack of an ultra-wide angle camera. This phone is only going to get one update to Android 11 and after that it'll only receive security updates until 2022. The vibration motor is flubby and weak, which is a shame considering some phones in a similar price range have much better motors with strong and tight vibration feedback. Finally, the lack of an ultra-wide camera really rubs me the wrong way- I mean, really? Instead of a nearly useless depth camera, they probably could've added an ultra-wide lens at a lower resolution. The macro camera is alright and does make for some fun shots, but I'd rather only have the regular and ultrawide cameras on the back so the camera bump can be smaller/slimmer.

Nice entry level phone from cool brand 1+
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I remember when Oneplus, a sub brand from Oppo came out to market a few years ago. It had the cool factor and you needed to get an impossible invitation in order to preorder their phones! That very clever marketing campaign allowed to generate a lot of online buzz and interest from the consumist public, and disguised the fact they were a startup (anyone remembers Vertu from Nokia?) and they wanted to sell their production before placing an order with Oppo's EMS partner. I have bought in eBay several other OnePlus phones: A 1+1 in Silk White 3 or 4 OnePlus X in obsidian Black All were pre-owned in mint condition and I gave them as gifts to previous girlfriends, whom were unaware of the brand, but once they searched for information online they loved the fact they had in their hands a phone none of their girlfriends could get, reaching exclusivity. Anyway, knowing the brand like I do, and based on the fact I bought it open box, had $70 in BestBuy certificates and my trusted Blu Vivo 8 is showing its age since the battery charge is not holding up like it used to, I decided to buy this one, since I did not want to pay full retail price for a new phone. It's specs are comparable to my Vivo 8 in regards to battery, screen resolution, ROM and RAM, with the disadvantage of not having the two Sim capability BLU has. It came without case not screen protector like previous models from the brand, so I am waiting for them to arrive before I start using the phone as a daily companion. So far I have only used it for internet browsing with WiFi, but response is good. Nice screen, but nothing to rave about. Hopefully OnePlus decides down the road to make a new model of their OnePlus X model ( like a second edition of the iPhone SE) and that would be a product I would like to buy... But hey, for the $80 I ended up paying for it it seems to be a good value for the money

It’s fine, not much more.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this to have as a backup phone. It’s a bit slow, with poor quality cameras and a decent display. It takes ages to charge it to 100%, but it does have a large battery capacity so that’s something. Managing expectations, it gets the job done on a budget. If that’s what you need, this phone is for you. I knew going in I wanted something cheap to have in storage just in case. If you are used to more expensive phones, with better hardware and features, this one’s not for you.

Worst Phone I've Used in Years
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is going to be a rough one. As a company, OnePlus has been built on offering fantastic, flagship performing smartphones for many years. This phone was a massive mis-step for them, regardless of the price. Let's dive in: Screen: After taking the phone out of the box and using it for awhile, the first thing that confused me was OnePlus' decision on display tech. While an LCD display in this price category isn't unusual, the choice to have it at only 720p HD vs 1080p on similar phones in this price segment (Moto G) was confusing. Moreover, it's also a 90hz refresh rate display. This would usually mean the phone would feel silky smooth while using it, but not in this case. This is likely due to the processor choice OnePlus made here, which brings us to our next point. Processor: This phone is equipped with a Snapdragon 460 chipset. In real-world terms, this is the bottom of the barrel as far as performance goes. I don't understand why OnePlus didn't at least opt for a Snapdragon 660 for this one. This would have made a WORLD of difference. Even with the 90hz display on this phone, it CRAWLS. It's extremely disappointing and unbecoming of OnePlus and deals a blow to their brand image. Even casual users that don't game or anything will notice this lag. Cameras: They're there, they're passable, but that's it. Don't expect any nice shots out of these. All in all, as I said earlier, the fact that this phone exists is very confusing to me. OnePlus could have done so much more to make this phone at least passable for it's price range, but as it stands it's a massive flop and the worst phone I've used in many, many years; and I've used many, many phones. If you're shopping in this price range, I would pass on this and go for something like the Moto G Power 2021. You'll get a lot more bang for your buck going that route.

Valu for money
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great value for money. Runs slow if you plan to use heavily. It will be great for basic usage but for multiple apps, etc... get a phone with better processor and Ram.

Q: QuestionIs it dual sim phone? I mean can we have 2 SIM cards of same or different carriers?
Asked by Raj.
- A:Answer Yes, I'm planning on switching to mint mobile and when I put in their introductory sim card it ran just fine. And I'd switch to my cricket sim card to not miss any calls or texts to my old number and it worked fine too. As someone who was using 2 services at the same time it wasn't a problem at all

Q: QuestionIs it google fii compatible
Asked by Crish.
- A:Answer Yes, but it will only work on Google Fi's T-Mobile bands, so if T-Mobile service isn't good in your area, I would suggest looking at something like the Pixel 4a.
