About this ebook

Now the Major TV Series Partners in Crime

From the brilliant pen of Agatha Christie comes the first novel in her Tommy and Tuppence mystery series featuring the beloved sleuthing duo.

Tommy and Tuppence are young, in love . . . and flat broke. Restless for excitement, they decide to embark on a daring business scheme:  Young Adventurers Ltd.—“willing to do anything, go anywhere.” But they get more than they bargained for when their first assignment for the sinister Mr. Whittington draws them into a diabolical conspiracy.

It isn’t long before they find themselves plunged into more danger than they ever could have imagined—a danger that could put an abrupt end to their business . . . and their lives.

“Agatha Christie proves that if you really are good enough, you can break all the ‘rules’ and still come up with a winner.” —Anne Perry, New York Times bestselling author of the Thomas Pitt and William Monk series of Victorian mysteries

Though not the best of her books, in many ways the perfect book for a relaxed afternoon before a fire. Fun to see how she tried American forms of speech and jargon. Characters could have been a bit more deeply developed. Didn't check when in her career it was written... reads like an early publication. Still in all, I enjoyed the book. A good and quick read.

Haven't read a Tommy & Tuppence title in ages. Glad to see that Agatha Christie still holds up as a great read, even her earliest titles. Also got a kick out of the photocopy of the book's date due page from Harvard's library - a universal "old school" library trait.

What a fantastic read! I'm glad this was my first ever Agatha Christie read because it didn't disappoint. From the opening pages it already had me smiling and flat out laughing, especially Tuppence and her obsession with money. haha It kept me guessing too and loved trying to figure out who Mr. Brown was. And I figured it out real quick. Excellent story and keeps wanting me to read more. It's no wonder Agatha is the top best selling author and her books are known and read worldwide. A ten star read.
