Thales and the Battle of the Eclipse

Thales and the Battle of the Eclipse

On May 28, in the year 585 BCE, there was a total solar eclipse during a battle between the kingdoms of Media and Lydia. This eclipse had been predicted by Thales of Miletus, and it led to the ends of both the battle and the war. Maybe.

Super interesting

I love this podcast and have been listening to it for years. I look forward to learning about new fascinating people every week. Even the most difficult subject are explained in a way that it’s easy to understand. I also enjoy that the podcast covers subject from all over the world and helps me broaden my horizon. Thanks for teaching me so much that I definitely missed in history class.

Shockingly dull.

I used to suffer from insomnia until I listened to this pod cast. It’s a brilliant story but this isn’t it. The delivery is turgid, it would be difficult to tell it in a slower and more disinterested delivery. Best avoided.

Used to be great

Quality of the content has somehow got a lot worse over the past few years. Hosts are okay.
