Good so far
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I can't speak about long-term use as I have only had it up and working for about 2 weeks. What I can tell you is that the setup was easy. I haven't experienced any problems with it yet and the tri-band is nice for designating what connections to use for what devices. I am in the process of trying different ways to use it, such as smart connect for my security system or not. I have a ranch style home of about 1800 square feet and it covers all of it with no problem.

Good Router to Own it
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like the speed and 3 different frequencies it’s having. Never regret to own this one. Earlier I had A6 (1200Mbps) one. This one is much faster and more device connection capability. Also very slim and square size.

Good router for different frequencies
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This router is solid built. If you are computer savvy and use older devices that do not run on 5G this is a must. You are also able to program it to restart every night or at whatever time you desire. I found this feature useful in preventing lag. Good overall product.

EXCELLENT THRU-PUT AND RANGE
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have been thru 2 wireless routers and 1 Mesh system just trying to get reasonable speed throughout my house which is only 2300 sq.ft. This Archer4000 had some good reviews online and in a well known consumer’s rating magazine so figured I would give it a try considering Best Buy had it on sale. Have to say I am more that pleased as this performed better than the previous 2 routers and the Mesh system with a base and 2 satellites I have tried over the past year. I now have excellent speed thru-put anywhere in the house and can even get great results outside at the pool area and all the way to the street out front. No dead spots. I was contemplating going to the new wi-fi 6 technology but could not justify twice the price when I don’t have a single wi-fi 6 compatible device. Set-up was extremely easy with the web app and I am not a network guru. If you are looking for great speed at maximum range, this is the perfect solution.

The Best Router
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.TP-Link AC4000 is an excellent router. This is my first TP-Link and I will buy this brand from now on. The best router I have used. Extremely fast. We get our max internet speed (200mbps) all throughout entire 1700 sq fthouse and outside. Handles our 12 devices no problem. Havent had any drops. Easy setup. Has its own internet security. App is great and easy to use. HIghly recommend.

WiFi Router does exactly what I needed
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I realized that my older Linksys WNDR4000 dual-band WiFi router just wasn't up to the task anymore. Spectrum recently increased internet download speeds to 200 Mbps in our area and I was lucky to be getting 70Mbps over WiFi. I could only get 200 Mbps when connected to the router via Ethernet. Plus, signal coverage was somewhat spotty - noticed primarily with my Chromecast device which while behind the TV, still was nearly within line of sight of the WiFi router. Since replacing it with the TP-Link Archer AC4000, I'm now getting a much better WiFi signal throughout the house and am able to get 200Mbps download speeds via WiFi. Router setup was also incredibly easy and I like the SmartConnect mode where all 3 WiFi bands are under the same SSID and it automatically chooses the best band for the device that's connecting. Haven't had any issues with any devices not being able to connect. The phone app and web Interfaces are easy to use and straightforward. The info it provides on the MAC addresses for connected devices was useful in tracking down and figuring out what a couple of "phantom" devices were on my network. Would highly recommend this router if you are having issues with WiFi speeds and signal strength, especially if you can get it on sale like I did.

Q: QuestionI have a very old house of about 2000 square feet. Will this router cover my home?
Asked by JASP1.
- A:Answer Any router could have issues with lathe and plaster walls, this router can do the square footage, but you’ll just have to try it. The thicker the lathe and plaster, the more difficult and location will also play a role.

Q: QuestionWill this router cover my 3500 square foot house?
Asked by Hal.
- A:Answer To ensure the best possible WiF isignal, it is important to make sure placement is as optimal as possible. Reducing obstructions and placing the router in a central location will help ensure your signal reaches the areas you need. In some cases, if relocating is not possible, or if your environment/home requires it, using a mesh WiFi solution such as our Deco Mesh series may be a suitable solution. Regards, TP-Link Support

Q: QuestionWould it work with spectrum WiFi? And how much ping would I get in pub g and fortnite I get 30 now but it feels like 150
Asked by Austin.
- A:Answer Yes, our AC4000 WiFi router can be used with any Internet service by connecting to the modem via Ethernet. Your ping will vary depending on numerous factors including, but not limited to: which medium you are connecting to the router with (i.e. Ethernet or WiFi), your Internet provider's speed and latency, and if connecting via WiFi, which band, how far from the router you are, and the WiFi capabilities of your gaming device. Q: QuestionDoes this come with a preset password? I don’t have a computer to set it up with, only iPads.
Asked by Nikki.
- A:Answer I set the router up using the TP-Link Tether app on my smartphone. The app detects the router, then asks you what you want the SSID and password to be for each of the 3 wireless networks. I had it setup in less than a minute.
