Great product, not without its flaws.
4 Stars
Great product, not without its flaws.
Works as intended. I use it with a pair of Skullcandy Crushers with a 6 inch aux cable in place of the detachable 2ft cable that comes standard. I used Velcro and put one side on the back of this unit and the other on one ear of the headset. Instead of paying for a whole new pair of wireless headsets, I just made my own! Some things I wanted to note, and a couple why I took a star off.-Using a Samsung Galaxy S4 and Spotify as my source, the controls (mostly pause and skip/rewind) had a somewhat painful delay, usually ranging from 0.5-2 seconds. I expected the actions to register instantly, but it is possibly a Bluetooth limitation and not a product issue, I can't be sure.-Using this with my Skullcandy Crushers, which have a slider to control bass levels (from standard to "Oh god, my eardrums are bleeding"). With conformable listening volumes, hooked directly to my phone, the bass is at a enjoyable level, but the bass decreases when the headsets are plugged into this unit. To get the bass to return to levels equal to how they were when the headset was wired, the volume has to be turned up to sometimes uncomfortable volumes. I feel that has to do with the power output from the jack of this device vs. a phone. Just speculation, but in short, the additional bass my headset offered fell short used with this device.-Personally, I feel sound quality takes a small hit, but isn't by any standards a deal-breaker.-It appears when connected to a device that is not outputting audio, it goes into a sleep like mode. When the device starts putting out audio, a small click can be heard as the unit comes back to life to full volume, it's not instantaneous.-Device volume isn't affected by the volume buttons on this device. They are independent levels, meaning this device can be at its lowest volume setting, but your phone is maxed, and as a result, you have to adjust both, or leave one up all the time and adjust the other. Some may see this as a benefit however.-And possibly the largest gripe, when listening to music, the Bluetooth connection once in a while seems to drop for a split second and come back on, causing skips in the audio. Just gets annoying after a while.Don't get me wrong, I love this for making any headset, earbud, really any audio device period into a wireless device. However, like any product, it isn't without its flaws, but none of them are too incredibly large, and are worth the

I previously purchased the receiver as a way to listen to music through my android phone without the cable tugging on the aux port. I am satisfied for the function, and how it is user friendly. Pairing was simple, and compatible with other Bluetooth devices. The battery life was expected, and lasted as advertised. I sound quality meet expectations, with few latency, and rare distortions. I would like to see a second generation receiver with a newer Bluetooth protocol, and a larger battery life, improved latency, and it would be an amazing receiver to buy. Thus, I would recommend this device for those who want to make their favorite headphones Bluetooth for calls, actively working out, and even for Skype calls (Note that when set as a headset, the audio is set to mono. You have to disable it and set it as a headphone and the audio to be stereo.)

I use this when I ride my motorcycle or for listening to my jams at work. The buttons are just big enough to press with my riding gloves, but it's sometimes difficult to find the buttons through those fat gloves. Considering it's not designed specifically for use while riding on a motorcycle, it's a great product!

I love how small it is, I mean I forget it's clipped onto my clothes sometimes. I hope I don't forget about and lose it somewhere.

I bought this along with a pair of ear buds and I was pleasantly surprised I could use it with any old ear bud to take a call. The microphone is behind a little hole on the side so I can't take calls while I ride my motorcycle but I could take a call while I drive my car. I just keep it hooked onto my flip-down shades. I hook this device on my shirt pocket at work and so I can work with my hands while I talk on the phone.

The Bluetooth range is amazing. I had some of the Jaybird ear buds that cost over $100 that I got a couple of years ago because I couldn't find a pair of bluetooth ear buds that had good sound quality with decent bluetooth range except the Jaybirds. Those ear buds had great bluetooth distance capability as I used them regularly at 20 ft through 3 walls. This is on par with those Jaybirds, but this product combined with some decent corded earbuds is a much cheaper combination and on top of that a regular corded ear bud can be plugged directly into an electronic device if the battery on this bluetooth adapter runs low. Not so much with the Jaybird, not to mention the battery is non-replaceable!

I'm glad I can find a bluetooth adapter that works well, is cheap, fits anywhere, and allows me to take calls.

I have been on a quest for 2 years to find a Bluetooth device that can make phone calls where I can actually hear the other person and they don't tell me I sound like I'm in a tunnel or garbled... This is probably the 5th or 6th attempt. Most devices, like those over-the-neck devices have great sound for music, but the other person ALWAYS complains they can't hear me clearly, I'm muffled, echo, etc. I also tried a couple of the one-ear headsets with the boom sticking out in front. For those, the other person hears me OK, but the quality of the sound to the headset is lousy. I guess they all use the same chipset or earphone element. I had concluded that the freebie wired earbuds the come with the phone have better quality than even $50 Bluetooth devices, yuck.

Finally, this adapter solves the problem! The built-in microphone works great so far on all my calls when clipped to the front of my shirt. Surprisingly, it works better there than when clipped or held close to my mouth. And the headphones work just about the same as when they are plugged directly into the actual phone. So I use my favorite earbuds with it, and all is well. And music sounds fine, too, although I don't use the phone for that very much.

Only reason for 4 stars is, as others have mentioned, the clip does not squeeze open, you have to kind of force it over the clothing item. Definitely a 2-hand task, which is a pain when driving or trying to do something else if you don't wear it all the time. Also, too bad it doesn't optionally detect or use the mic in your headset if you have one - this mic picks things up my voice great, but it also "hears" more background sounds like when driving, since it's farther away.

But overall, this is a wonderful improvement for phone use over any other Bluetooth solution I have tried!

5.0 out of 5 stars Mit einem kleinen Umbau sogar als Motorrad-Helm FSE einsetzbar.
Reviewed in Germany on October 16, 2017

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfekte Lösung
Reviewed in Germany on August 8, 2017

Recharge via micro usb pratique.
Qualité audio très bonne pour du Bluetooth.

4.0 out of 5 stars Top Bluetoothempfänger
Reviewed in Germany on July 29, 2016
