Amazing sound from such a small cube
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Rich, wholesome sound. It doesn’t miss out on the deep bass with music and movies. The sound fills out the medium to large size living room well. That is something I wouldn’t expect from a small 1ft x 1ft cube like that. Overall, it has a very nice look as well, but both top and base may attract fingerprints easily. Good thing it comes with a cloth protecting the top and bottom that would also be great to wipe off fingerprints.

WOW!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picked this up discounted to add a second subwoofer to my home cinema measuring 8ftx12ft to help better balance LFE sound. On my way home I kept having second thoughts, as i wondered if a sub with such a small footprint could have any reasonable output especially compared to my current main sub - an SVS PB12-NSD which is more than twice the size. Initially, i disconnected the main sub, to see how this little sub performed on its own. Wow! My chair vibrated, the air and room was fillled with low frequency sound. I quickly checked to confirm if i did in fact disconnect the main sub and i did. The little sub not only pressurized the room but each note of music and movies was heard as much as felt. At moderate volumes the Def tech sub kept up with my larger SVS sub at all but the lowest frequecies. Dont let the size of this sub fool you, If you need to fill a small room and are short on space look no further. In my opinion its worth 599, but a steal if discounted.

Pleasantly surprised!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. All I can say is wow! For something this small to put out that much sound in the low registers is simply amazing. I really couldn’t believe it until I plugged the thing up. I got an Onkyo NR 676 and I plugged it up to the subwoofer out. Tested with Post Malone Rockstar and you could really feel it, even halfway across the room. I have open concept loving room and I could hear the glass in the cabinets slightly clanging against one another. Beautiful! Especially since this box has only 7 inch woofers. I watched a few videos on Definitives’s website and I’m believing their hypotheses about those bass resonators. Got this sub on sales too January 2020, so it’s a heck of a deal if you can find one. I’ll probably go all Definitive one day if I can afford thier higher end stuff. iPhone 8 in the picture for size compare.

Great SW for most systems!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my second Definitive Technology - SuperCube that I've owned and both are great! The newer DEFTECH 2000 7-1/2" 650W Powered Subwoofer sounds great and has a very small footprint....which is a plus. It was very easy to hook up to my system and I've been enjoying if for months with no issue. It's a little punchy, but that can be addressed thru proper setup. Overall it's a very reliable SW.

Powerful, accurate bass from a small package
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I first plugged this sub in to replace my 20 year old Velodyne, I was underwhelmed. However, after a few days of breaking it in, changing the crossover to 60 Hz and turning up the LFE output from my receiver, I am seriously impressed. I’m hearing notes now that I never heard before with my old sub. If I turn the volume up, it can shake my entire living room but at just over half volume, it is tight, accurate and musical. It fits perfectly in the mix with my Audioengine speakers and provides both low end oomph for music and room shaking LFE for movies. I love this thing! Glad I stuck it out and gave it a few days. I’m super impressed and love the new sound I have in my living room home theater.

Q: QuestionI have four definitive speakers with build in subs. I want to just use the speakers and unplug the subs. Will the speakers work with a separate Sub?
Asked by Rich.
- A:Answer Speaking about the tower speakers w/subs then yes, just use the high level inputs (ie the black and red terminals). Unplug the sub wire (LFE) and power cord you dont need it, since its for the sub amp. This is what I did with my bp8040-st's.

Q: QuestionI have Edifer R1850DB bookshelf speakers. I would like to add the SC 2000 Supercube just not sure if the 3.5mm out of Edifer can go direct single RCA to the LFE input on cube?
Asked by Kdawg.
- A:Answer Yes as long as the Edifer R1850DB is sending out a filtered bass signal. Connect a 3.5mm from sub out on Edifer speakers to RCA LFE subwoofer input. You will need a 3.5mm to RCA cable. The Super Cube does not have a low pass filter (cross over built in). Please consider our new Subwoofer line up. The DN10 or DN8. Both now have a low pass filter allowing you to fine to the crossover point.

Q: Questionhow can I connect the subwoofer to my Denon AVR-S960H 8K AV receiver and to my rear speaks (see rear speak input in the attached image..)
Asked by yasin.
- A:Answer See page 8 of the manual https://s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/assets.soundunited.com/definitive/product_documents_legacy/SC%202000%20Manual_12.21.10_web.pdf?mtime=20161003165515 Your wall jacks show a single RCA jack on what I assume is the connection block for the rear speakers. What I can't see is if this is on the wall your speakers are to be located or if this is in the closet your receiver is in. If on the wall connect a standard RCA cable from the RCA jack on wall (top right) to the LFE input of the SuperCube 2000 and then on the other end, where the receiver is located, connect the RCA jack to your sub output on your denon with a standard RCA cable. For better performance upgrade your RCA cables to higher quality cables specific for subs.

Q: Questionmy powerfield supercube 3 stop working when tested with speakers. getting power to the speaker is it possible to have a blown fuse?
Asked by GTO.
- A:Answer make sure the lfe out cord is in there correctly if it wiggles a little bit the sound shuts off I thought it had a bigger problem but that's all it was was just a cable end was loose it could be the fuse,I have the super cube 2 and on the back it has a fuse, there a slot for a small flat head screwdriver, just about a half turn then use your hand to take it the rest of the way out. If that's the problem you should be able to get it at a radio shack type store or a music store just make sure you get the correct one, when you take the fuse out it should have the info on there.
