I have a 4th Gen iPad mini and spend a lot of time reading on it - newspapers, magazines and books - and some time playing games. For years I'd used stands I got on Etsy for almost twice the price of the iProp. My original stand wore out and I was unhappy with a design change and an increase in price and decided to look for something else. I was skeptical of the iProp because it was so small (half the length of my old log shaped stand) and lightweight but it had great reviews and was relatively inexpensive so I decided to give it a try.
After using it for hours over two days I love it! It's much more stable than it appears - I've had no trouble with it tipping or falling over on my lap, in bed next to me, on the kitchen counter, etc. Given the stability, I like that's it's smaller and lightweight because I take my stand when I travel and this one will be much easier to pack. I also love the hard support for the iPad, and the fact that the shelf part of the support has an opening for a charging cable (i.e. you can charge the iPad while it's on the stand and being used). Very well designed and constructed - It's the best stand I've found for my iPad and I've looked at many over the years! Recommended.
