About this app

Welcome to Orbit. Orbit is a family of Bluetooth trackers that allow you to find what you need when you need like your keys, wallet, phone, glasses, bags etc...

Orbits can be ordered at https://findorbit.com

Make it ring:
Attach or stick an Orbit to anything and use the app to make them ring. You can choose from 3 different ringtones.
Orbit can also make your phone ring, even on silent! (function not available on Orbit Glasses)

Locate your Orbit:
The app will record the last know GPS location and display on a map the last place you had your Orbit. This would be the best place to start looking!

Orbit Net:
The entire Orbit community is looking for all the lost Orbit. Mark your Orbit as lost and you will be notified as soon as someone comes with range of it.

Take a seflie.
The Orbit works also a camera remote for your phone. It is ideal for selfies or group shots.(not available on Orbit glasses)

Some of the other features of Orbit:
- All our trackers have replaceable or rechargeable battery, so you do not need to replace every year!
- Some of our trackers are fully waterproof like the Orbit Keys and Orbit Card
- Separation Alarm - Keep your belongings in your Orbit, if you are separated from your Orbit, your phone will alert you
- Built-in loudspeaker

Notes:
*The app utilises Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to communicate with your Orbit. the maximum range is 100ft.
*The app utilises Location Services to record the last know location of your Orbit, based on your phone's geo-location data.
*Continued use of GPS or Bluetooth running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.

For the 2 or 3 years I have used Orbit, it has never worked. Even with allowing the app to run in the background, it never kept track of my keys or my wallet unless the app was open in the foreground. The recent app update that allows the app to track your location all the time seems to have fixed this issue. The Orbit Wallet card battery failed after only 6 months of use. Now the wallet card does not work unless it is connected to the charger. Once removed from the charger, the wallet tracker dies even when it is fully charged to 100%. The Orbit key tag seems to have less issues than the Wallet. Also please add Google Home compatibility, otherwise I will have to finally switch to Tile.

On my glasses--huge timesaver, but requires bluetooth which runs down battery. Bluetooth must be on and within range or it cannot signal the unit. It can show you on Google Maps the last place it remembers the unit being, but that doesn't help if you misplaced it in your house. You have to walk around until you get within range and the bluetooth reconnects. Can be set to alarm as soon as item gets a set distance away, so could prevent you from losing the item in the first place.

Finally, with much Support help, I'm able to login to the App. I got the Keyfinder due to its GeoFencing. An alarm will sound when you're out of Bluetooth range, but that could be many feet away. Too bad you're unable to set a range. GPS needs to be on & the App needs to run in the background. All this may kill the battery. Take the battery out of the tracker if you're not going to use it, as it's Always On. Also, if you switch phones, delete the Orbit from the App to save yourself headaches.
