Solid, good looking, and protective

This is such a solid case. I've had products from UAG before and they've all been very solid cases. This one was no exception.
Some things to know
1 - build quality is excellent. buttons click and fit over very well. ports are adequately exposed, there are no weak points susceptible to degredation or falling apart
2 - very safe and protective. There is enough protection so that your phone is genuinely safe but not so much that the case becomes obscene. The edges are given more protection, especially on the corners, which redistributes impact shock well. Because of this increased size in the edges and corners also the camera is muuuuuch better protected than other cases. This is always a big worry of mine so it's great that they did this.
3 - look and feel is great. It's still stylish despite being decently protective. The buttons feel good, the rubber has a nice feel and grips just a little bit which is nice. There's also a harder plastic which feels nice as well. Everything is finished in a matte manner.

Overall great case. I've found the one I was looking for.

faulty plastic crumbles after a few months

When brand new, this seemed like a really awesome case. But after a few months the button covers break off, and a few months after that the entire thing, which used to be sort of soft plastic, will harden and start crumbling apart. Once enough of the edges chip away, it is difficult to hold without accidentally activating the phone's touchscreen any more. And also the corners chip away first, so if you were to drop your phone on concrete with the corner hitting first, there'd be no protection.

If the case had only cost like $10, I'd probably give it another chance and hope they fixed their plastic chemistry problem by now. Because it really was a perfect case for the way my hands hold this phone, with exceptionally nice tactile and easy to use covers over the side buttons. But at $25 I think I need to try and find something similar from a different company.

This is a great case. It is sturdy and protects your phone, at the same doesn't compromise with extra bulk. The ribs on the back serve for strengthening the case and adding extra grip. The look is very nice, I would say manly. Great for a teenager and hand-me-down phone. We found that the well known competitor brand adds a lot of bulk to a phone. This does not.
The only minor issue occurred when the protective glass applied slightly off center and the sharper lip of this case was lifting the protective glass. Couple of gentle runs with file smoothed the sharp lip and solved the problem. It was caused not by the product itself, but by mine awkwardness applying the screen protector.

The case looks like it is sturdy, but feels flimsy.

The edges are made of a thin softer rubber that is glued to the harder material.

The corners are made of same material

First edges to go was the mute slider followed by the charging port and speaker/3.5mm jack.

With the corners made of same material. The edge was peeled back and my screen's bottom right was unprotected. The corner was only being held/attached by the harder plastic in the rear after it sides torn off from the edges.

Awesome case for the OnePlus 5T

UAG has always been one of my favorite cell phone case makers, and I was really excited to see they are offering a case for my OnePlus 5T.
As soon as it was available for pre-order on Amazon Canada, I put my order in.
To start off, I have been using the OnePlus glass screen protector since day one. Any case I would use and keep would have to be compatible with the glass screen protector. I am very happy to report that this case is fully compatible with the OnePlus glass screen protector.
I have been using the case for about a week now, and absolutely love it. The buttons line up perfectly, and feel very clicky and responsive.
The alert slider is very easy to reach, but also feels quite protected. Even with the glass protector in place, there is still at least one mm lip above the glass, making me feel very comfortable in placing my phone screen down on any surface. The camera lens is very well protected, and the finger print sensor is still very easy to use. The case itself is not too heavy, looks good, and the phone feels very protected. It would likely survive a drop from a reasonable height. I have absolutely no complaints at all about this case. UAG has a real winner here. Highly recommended for any OnePlus 5T owner!!

I bought both the UAG Pathfinder and Supcase Unicorn Beetle. Even though UB is award winning, it has its practical disadvantages with bulk, access to all parts of the screen, double screen touch and real tough port covers that you will have to fight with everyday. I also chose UAG over Spigen and Kapavier due to the latter's interferences with the screen guard and lacking camera depth.

UAG is the case perfect in all terms and offers the protection you need, even though Supcase has a tank like protection. Looks better in real. Amazing quality. Fits the phone perfectly and no problems with the screen guard whatsoever. Has plenty of depth for the camera therefore offers full camera protection.

Greatest disadvantage or let down of the UAG is the side grip. Has a very plasticky side grip for even mildly sweaty hands and the phone just slips right out from your hand. I haven't ever dropped my fone since a year with the stock case and now all of a sudden I've dropped it 5 times in 20 days with the UAG. Nevertheless it protects; until that unfortunate day where your screen lands head-on on a pointy stone.

And if you're a lady with long finger nails it might be a little trouble to use the fingerprint sensor as the depth is more.

$$ However I do have our Indian famous 'jugaad' to get around. I just stuck 3m double side automotive tape on the sides and coloured the visible adhesive with a permanent marker sketch. The glue disappears and it's Grippiest!!! $$
