I like the news agency and reporting. However, app notifications do not work despite checking several settings and disabling battery optimization. Links from other places always take me to the website on browser, (Chrome) and not the app... instead of opening links in the app like everyone else does. Update 4/6/24, much better experience with the app. Advertising is much less intrusive and notifications work good now.

2/18/24: Generally a good app with excellent content and reasonable advertising displays, but with two major faults: (1) far too many bad links from headline home page to the actual articles (and no work around); and (2) inability to cleanly print-to-PDF articles of interest. The AP app is far better on both fronts. Lose one star for each major shortcoming. Update 2/20/24: Just encountered first articles blocked from view on the app requiring registration. Lose two stars and uninstalling app.

When it works it is pretty good, but when it doesn't work it is maddening. The problem is with the registration/sign in. About once a week it forces me to sign on again, but the app doesn't save my password or my email address. So I try one of my email addresses and try again. Sometimes it works, but at least half the time it doesn't, so I use the lost password function, or try to reregister. This sometimes takes a while because i use a throwaway address for BS. Deleting app .
