Received it quick, took it out of package and ran to the room cut tv on then cut apple on the control work without  setting anything, wish I would of ordered soon than searching for the old one!!! Much easier!!

I misplaced my original apple TV remote (3rd generation).  I looked at many stores and online retailers to replace it.  I was very concerned that I would receive a plastic version of the remote and not the authentic one.  This is the REAL DEAL!  It is aluminum and comes with the battery already in the remote.  No need to pair it with the tv - it started up immediately.  The price was great and fast shipping!  Thank you so much!!

This remote is the real deal. Not a knockoff. This is Apple?s original remote for the older AppleTV. Setup was easy. I paired it as instructed, it worked perfectly. No problems. My old remote, the left arrow function had stopped working. To unpair an old remote the instructions said to hold the menu button and the left arrow, but I could not do that. I wasn?t sure if I had to, but I had no choice, I couldn?t. I tried pairing the new remote (holding menu bottom and right arrow) and it worked. The new remote was paired. Works perfect. I took out the battery on old remote. Done. My older AppleTV is back up and running like new, now that I can control it with my new original equipment AppleTV remote.

OEM Remote. Not a knockoff.

This replaced our lost remote. It worked straight out of the box. I was surprised that it was under $20 - Apple products are usually a bit more expensive.

Replacement for lost remote

I always hate giving things a 5, but what can I say it worked straight out of the box. No linking or connecting. It is definitely an OEM apple part. I have 3rd Gen  1469.
I needed this. I changed routers so my phone no longer worked as a remote, they have to be on the same network, and you need a remote to change networks. You can do a factory reset to get a bluetooth keyboard working, but now iTunes can not find the supporting software to factory reset. I did it a few years ago and it worked great, you just factory reset, plug it in and it detects the keyboard so you can configure your phone as a remote. But not now.
This remote saved me.  I think a best practice is use this remote to configure your phone and then put it in a safe place.

Amazing, and Cheaper Than Apple

Did not try to use until now, ordered as a spare.  Does not work, will not turn on Apple TV, just blinks the LED without turning it on.
