May daughter who is 8 wanted a Fitbit like my Charge 3, because of the steps and relax mode, silent alarms, etc. So she worked hard to earn the money to buy this kids model. Unfortunately we didn't see that all it really does is step count because it doesn't have a heart rate monitor.The screen features are a bit to figure out to navigate. The APP is a pain to switch between her stats and mine on my phone. I don't think most kids have smart phones, so being able to set the alarms from the watch itself would have been nice instead of having to log in the app to make any changes.The upside, it looks great - she loves it. She's been wearing it now for 4 months and the condition is still great. It really is water proof and very durable - its been on many serious adventures even into the sea. The battery charge lasts about a week and she really likes the main screen with the option if the little flower that grows through out the day as she gets more steps.Once she wears this one out, I think she'll start earning for the adult watches with the heart rate monitor and extra features - just buy a girly looking strap.

Our son wanted a Fitbit for Christmas so that is what he got. He is 8 years old and loves it. He's constantly tracking his steps and trying to beat his goal of 10,000 steps every day. We had some issues trying to setup the app on his Kindle so my wife set it up on her iPhone. Other than that the Fitbit has worked great. It holds a charge for most of the week and then we charge it overnight. It shows date, time, steps and can track active time and sleep habits. It's also waterproof.

Our son loves the celebratory messages and badges he receives for meeting and exceeding his step goals. This keeps him motivated to stay moving.

I would recommend this for any kid or any parent who wants to keep their kids motivated.

We just wanted our kids to be a bit more active so this helps them. They enjoy having the trackers to see how many steps they can get or to let them know they need to be more active for the hour. Only downside is on the app it shows you can send messages to the watches but it doesn’t work..

I have used a fitbit for the last 6 years...I've gone through a lot of them, usually while under warranty. My 7 year old has been wearing a really old digital watch that has been falling apart at the seams. She seems me always wearing my fitbit and I know she's been curious about it. She's seen commercials for other smart watches, but ones that have games and such which I am not interested in.

I decided to get her this for Christmas when amazon was having a sale. We charged it and set it up as soon as she opened it. It was fairly easy to pair with my phone and my account because my kiddo doesn't have her own phone. She's been able to quickly figure it out and I love knowing her sleeping patterns and her daily steps.

This doesn't feel as high quality as my fitbit, but that being said its a fraction of the price. The band itself feels really cheap so I think I'll go ahead and find something a little more high quality feeling.

My alta HR bit the dust and I needed something to count my steps so I can continue posting to my Conquerer Challenge Marathon. I didn't want to spend an arm and a leg and I wanted a brand I could rely on and was already familiar with. First, Yes, I am an adult, and it does work for adults too. There are also plenty of notches in the band to fit even the largest wrists! I've only had it a couple of days now but do notice that there are a few downsides...
1) You need to use a family account with it and create a child account for the tracking. This is fine, but, unfortunately, it does not automatically sync with the Marathon app since it's basically a sub-account of the main one. Ok, fine, I'll just manually post the distances since I at least have that info now.
2) Which brings me to caveat #2, it doesn't track distance! ??? I have no idea why it doesn't offer this info, it seems like a pretty basic conversion from steps but sadly the tracker only shows the # of steps. So I had to find a separate website calculator to convert steps to miles and adds yet another extra step to posting my distance to the marathon app.

Those are really the only downsides. Seems to track sleep quite well and does a decent job of step tracking. Just know that it won't show you actual miles or distance. The band is extremely comfortable and soft. It's actually WAY more comfortable than the regular Fitbit Alta HR band which used to leave indents in my arm sometimes where i"d have to leave it off for a while to give my wrist a rest.

So in short:

Pretty accurate
Silent alarm feature
stopwatch feature
fun watch faces
comfortable band
Tracks active minutes

Cons:
Information does not sync with other apps
Does not calculate distance
Simple/plain, more juvenile look to it, if that bothers you.

Overall it's comfortable and getting the job done without shelling out a fortune...so A- from me :)

We love everything about this watch and highly recommend it. The color scheme is cute; my daughter loves the pretty pink/watermelon color. I have heard from other reviewers that the band is weak, but we've had this watch for a while now and no issues with the band. Appears pretty sturdy to us. My daughter loves keeping track of her movement throughout the day and loves the fun encouragements when she hits a milestone or target. All in all, this is a great purchase. I would buy this watch again.

I’m a little surprised by the negative reviews - we’ve only had 1 minor issue where the Ace 2 was getting notifications when I received a text or call. It was easily fixed by removing the Ace 2 from the Bluetooth device list, logging out the app, logging back into the app and adding the Ace 2 back to the Bluetooth device list.
In regards to the battery life, it’s like most devices where the more you use it (i.e. touching the screen, using the other functions, etc), the sooner it needs to be recharged. Ours lasts several days without needing to be charged - it might last a week, but we don’t let the battery get super low.
My kid has been wearing it for a month and we haven’t had any issues with the strap (other than the free end slipping out of the rectangular piece) or the device popping out of the band even with a lot of activity.
Love that it’s waterproof!

Bought a different brand at first and wasn’t tracking info. Bought two and have been using for months. Definitely water proof, kids have swam and showered in them. Tracks sleep great. If I focus on the steps daily, kids would trick it by moving arm around. They stopped doing after the first few weeks. It’s accurate, as the steps are higher during their soccer practice days. I use it more for sleep for one child and steps for another
