Wingz 4+

First Wingz trip. I didn’t realize how rural our friends house was and wondered how we would get transportation to Austin airport at 5:15 am. My friends told me about Wingz and so I joined late the night before. While my friends told me they would drive me, I was hoping I wouldn’t have to wake them to take me. I joined at 10pm and requested a trip for the next morning at 5:20 am (a bit earlier than I needed to just in case “it didn’t work out.” I was contacted at 11:20 pm saying a driver was found for me. He contacted me right away and said he would be there at 5:20am the next morning. He contacted me again that morning at 5 saying his other client before me ran late and he was trying to make up that time. He told me how late he would be and showed up at that time. He was very helpful regarding the fastest lanes to get us there in time and he did. Very nice and apologetic. Price to get to the airport is very fair. I think the only thing I would suggest to clients is to add more time to allow if the driver is running late due to the last client. Will use the service again.

Wingz is a great rideshare company. The best of Uber/Lyft and convenience of traditional taxi. I especially like the scheduling aspect of this. I have been able to arrange to have a car waiting 5 days ahead of time and even 2 hours ahead. This way I am not the one waiting but the driver is. This is a vast improvement in customer service. I got so tired of waiting for an Uber or Lyft driver to show up that I went back to flagging taxis. Where Wingz is available it has become my preferred ride.

Both rides that my family scheduled with wingz did not happen this weekend. The first ride was confirmed, then canceled the night before because of lack of staff. The second ride, the driver left us because our flight got in 20 minutes later than expected. I was able to text the driver from the flight letting him know and asking that he please wait 20 minutes for us. He did not, even though the website says flights have a 30-min leeway. The entire reason we booked the wingz service was to get a cat seat- so customer service telling us to book a Lyft was not helpful! Wingz will not return my calls or texts now. I will obviously never book this service again. I recommend you steer clear, as well.
