Best 8K TV and for a great price now!
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve seen many 8K TVs but the Sony Z8H stands out and is affordable. Picture quality when it comes to sharpness, color contrasts, etc, is well worth the money. Playing the Nintendo Switch OLED while it was docked and I couldn’t tell the difference in the colors. Deep Blacks look great and brighter colors are vibrant. The only knock is that there is only one 8K HDMI port but i have the Xbox Series X, Playstation 5 right next to each other, so its easy for me just to switch the cord from console to console. Best part is, I happened to find my TV for $2500 as an open box but it was a floor model at Best Buy for its entire life so it looks pretty much brand new. Still would of purchased a brand new one if I didn’t find this deal however.

Quite honestly the best TV on the market!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. You want an LED with the inky blacks and contrast of OLED but still maintains the excellent brightness of LED than look no further. Not to mention the 8K capability which only further enhances your viewing experience. HDMI 2.1 that supports 4K/120hz for gaming and 8K external sources. No confirmation on VRR or ALLM though. But the main feature is 4K/120 and it is capable of that so your good to go for gaming. Plus the 8K makes this set future proof. Kinda expensive but the build quality is there and the picture quality is amazing. I exchange my A9G oled for this and I’m not going back.

Maybe best TV of 2020?
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Z8H is an excellent TV. The color is spectacular, blacks are very deep, best I have seen on a LCD. This TV gets very bright, which is good for HDR, and if you have a bright room. This TV also has minimal blooming, unlike my 950H. The X-Wide is much better than the 950H, no rainbow effect. The build quality is excellent as well. This TV also does really well with the PS5 too. So lets talk about the 8K. This TV upscales content to near 8K. Except for YouTube, there really is no 8K content, and even that stuff isn't that good. This TV is about having the best picture quality possible, and it delivers. The newer Z9J will probably be a great TV, but at double the cost of the current pricing of the Z8H I can't comment on the sound, because I use a home theater setup, and you really should have one, or a really good sound bar and sub. If you are on the fence and want to save some money, you might want to pick one up soon, Crutchfield is already showing this model as discontinued.

sony 8k is AWESOME
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.WOW I thought I had good tvs before. I am truly blown away by the quality of this tv. I cannot wait for my PS 5 to arrive next week, I want to see games in 8k. so stoked. Watching snyder cut justice league and Kong V Godzilla with my complete Sonos surround system, which had the whole house rattling was exactly the experience I was hoping for. I may never go to the movies again. I cant wait to hook up my new Sony 65" Bravia XR X90J Series 4K HDR LED Smart TV (2021) XR65X90J in my bedroom and see how good the xr chip is. thanks Best Buy and sony sony 8k is AWESOME, If you say different you are JEALOUS!!!

One of a kind!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best TV I've ever had I would never buy an OLED as almost %40 details are not visible I have an LG OLED and I took a photo both TVs at the same time Full array TV put OLED in to shame I was wondering why movies are too dark!! the answer is OLED is just cannot produce enough light and brightness Regarding if you are in a dark room or not you simply cannot see %40 of what it's on the screen!

New TV Dreams Fulfilled...
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Extremely pleased. I upgraded from a gen 1 Sony 4k XBR-65900A which I had loved for 7 years. This certainly blows it away. The brightness, color accuracy, interface speed etc. are all spectacular. Had built the space to accommodate a 75" and this fits perfectly. Excellent audio from the tv but I do prefer my HT system. The great remote is just frosting on the cake. Considered Samsung and LGs 8k options but the Sony won out for color accuracy, brightness, build quality and no dirty-screen effect. Oh and let's not forget about Dolby Vision support!

Best tv for 2020!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best tv for 2020. 4K and Dolby Vision are amazing on this tv. Natural colors smooth even during action scenes. The speakers on this tv which actually has 6 are amazing. Using it as a center speaker to my home theater at first thought it was a gimmick but no it’s actually insanely good! Get this tv if you want all around an amazing tv!

Q: QuestionWhat will be the differences between Z8H (the above TV) and the upcoming Z9J? Also any plan for an 8k OLED? Because I bought Z8H and it's too bnright and too much blue and not a rich black color. Thanks
Asked by kOLED.
- A:Answer The Z8H is one of the best televisions ever made by Sony— All TVs need the proper picture settings to perform optimally. Out of the box the TV is set to showroom mode, which is basically Vivid— Too bright with inaccurate colors. The best out of the box setting is Custom— closest to the creators intent and a great picture. Be sure the backlight is set to medium— this TV produces the best black levels of any LCD, coming close to matching OLED. The new Z9J reportedly has Sony’s latest XR processor, likely an improvement over the X1 in the Z8H. It is an LCD TV as well, so black levels TBD. It may have slightly better PQ that the Z8H. No one has reviewed it yet, or even seen it in person. Expect a debut in May or June— 8K OLEDs exist— LG makes one for $50 or 60K. The Z8H was built to be bright— more faithfully producing the light levels of original content. No current OLED can do that. In Custom mode the HDR picture is quite striking—. This is an excellent television. Put it in Custom more or have it calibrated (about $300) for an excellent picture—

- A:Answer the Tv has earc witch is hdmi port 3 so just plug in whatever u wanna use for arc or earc on port 3 and then turn the speakers off on the tv and it should come through on your speakers as far as hdmi 2.1 only port 4 supports hdmi 2.1 so thats the port your gonna wanna plug your ps5 in to get all the 2.1 features but u wont get arc on that port i know thats only dumb thing about the tv u have to choose between earc or hdmi 2.1 hopefully that helps

Q: Questionhas anyone personally directly compared this with the 75 NANO99 8k offering from LG...wonder if this one puts it to shame or are they in the same league when playing cable and 4k uhd blurays...thx
Asked by Daniel.
- A:Answer Dont know about the comparison but I bought the Nano and first one screen was cracked and 2 weeks later the second came in today and it was cracked. I would avoid the 75 nano.

Q: QuestionHow is viewing content from cable on this tv? I remember buying a Sony oled a few years ago and tried watching a football game and couldn’t believe how fuzzy the picture looked. Being an early 8k tv does cable/broadcast tv look fuzzy or is upscaling Good
Asked by Trekker84.
- A:Answer We have Cox cable and the picture is outstanding. Football games are so clear you have to see it to believe it! Even old shows like Friends look great because of the upscaling. I cannot recommend this TV any higher, it is that nice!

Q: QuestionTo me, sound is just as important as vision. Does this TV have Dolby Vision and does it sound like you are in a cinema
Asked by DEBBIES.
- A:Answer Hello, Sony’s new XBR-75Z8H 8K has an amazing picture and technology. As for sound quality, OK for average daily listening built in screen speakers are just OK. If you really want to enjoy top of line Sony TV you really need to use external sound amplifier system.
