I honestly don’t understand all the hate people have for this game. They’re talking about how glitchy and buggy it, but I don’t see it, and I’ve nearly put in 35 hours into the game already. I have not noticed any graphical glitches/imperfections. Everyone is bickering about the loot crates and I don’t know why. They give you a nice incentive to grind on the game and the whole risk and reward thing is pretty neat, I think. I think the game is amazing. The graphics are absolutely gorgeous, the amount of cars are is extensive, the tracks that are present are great (I’d love if they added the Eboladrome from The Grand Tour and that one Japan map from Forza 4 that was in the mountains). As I said, I don’t understand the hate people have for this.

10/15/2017 UPDATE: I have really tried to like Forza 7 but since Turn 10 Studios and Microsoft have given Ultimate Edition purchasers nothing but empty promises, I have decided I will "never"/"ever" purchase another Turn 10 Studios/Microsoft video game.
Their latest update is as follows:

Secondly, and even more significantly, we will be changing VIP rewards in Forza Motorsport 7. This new system will work like it did in Forza Motorsport 6, offering a 2X base credit bonus after every race. We’ve already started work on this feature and we will release it as soon as possible. Look for more information on this update as we near the release date. (On Forza web site October 3)

Really...!!! How about a 'hard target' for this fix (How about next week)?? Their latest news update (October 13) still provides not target date.

This issue of having to purchase crates is insane. The lowly amount of credits received for races is ludicrous. The credits received for advancing to the next level is paltry. The AI is grossly inconsistent from race to race. The changing weather adds nothing to the game. The silly driver waiting to drive the car has the nervous twitch. Overall, other than being able to drive cars around various tracks, there is not much to like about this game. Driving various cars for hours and having very little to show for it (credits) is frustrating since we have to purchase mods, crates, etc. A sad, sad video game addition to what "was" a great franchise.
I have lowered my score from 2-stars to 1-star.
Not sure if I will keep the game; there is a greater than 50% chance that I will return the game to Amazon.

Look elsewhere for auto racing games. Not much of a PS4 racing fan but I will be now. For sure I will stick with my tried and true MotoGP 2017 racing game.

What a "sham", "disgrace", "bait and switch" or call it whatever you want, by Microsoft and Turn 10 Studios. The VIP membership now limits the bonus credits to only 25 races...!!!! In previous versions (Forza 6), you had unlimited bonus credits. The two above corporations really messed this game up. Unless they make changes quickly, this will be the last Forza game I ever purchase - I have purchased versions 2 thru 6 in the past. Or maybe Microsoft and Turn Ten Studios don't care about repeat customers...!!!???

Besides the VIP issue, the game play is typical Forza. New tracks, old tracks, interesting weather, all make for nice game play.

Overall, don't purchase the Ultimate Edition if you care anything about the VIP lack of bonus credits. Extra money wasted...

Forza 7 is an awesome game pretty much all around. Improvements to gameplay and user experience make this one much more enjoyable than the previous two FM releases. A few changes seem to have disappointed many, e.g. those who previously took advantage of the permanent credit multipliers available w/VIP, but seems to me that the change is for the better and makes the economy more fair for multiple racing. And yes the loot boxes and rewards being dependent on use of the mod cards is a downer...oh well. Overall this is a great game, even with a hand full of arguable shortcomings...the low Amazon rating and review comments (in my estimation) reflect "overly vocal" players hung-up on minor changes and disappointments that in no way make this 4- to 5-star experience a one. Of note, my rating and review is for the base game, which I played for several days before entering the VIP codes. Enjoy!

I bought this on a preorder.Since i dont have a xb1x yet,im waiting to play.After reading the forums and reviews,Turn10 decided to make the VIP consumable which means you can use VIP 25 times then its gone.In past games VIP meant mostly credits bonuses but stayed with you forever.Nowhere in the preleases of this game was this stated.If only they had said upfront this will be different i could live with it.Maybe this will change since the game just came out.But over on Forza main site in the forums longtime supporters are steamed.Im giving the 1 star on the VIP that you are paying more for than the standard game.Which has no long term value.I have 30 days to return mine unopened copy.Just thought people should know what your NOT GETTING when buying the Ultimate Edition.We shall see in time if this or any of the major problems are fixed.

Turn 10 after much complaining reverted back to the old style VIP,gifted 4 cars and gave vips 1 million credits.Im now giving it a four.Still some gameplay issues but as far as the value of the ulitmate edition its works..Glad to see change back to the gamers favor instead of nickeling and diming us to death with little value.
