Helped me learn hiragana and katakana along with Duolingo - but this taught me to write much better than Duo did. I wish there were practice options in between "learn" and "test", though. People tend to learn best through spaced repetition, and in order to do that, I had to manually repeat lessons. Even just an option to repeat each unit as a full chunk instead of selecting each individual letter would make a big difference.

So far this is a fantastic app for learning the alphabets, very straightforward, the teaching method is extremely helpful and works very well for me. There's only one issue; I'm 30 characters into Hiragana, so far the only issue I have is with "Mo". 150/150 times, No matter how close I am to it being right, it's ALWAYS incorrect. I've screenshotted the given example and followed it exactly while doing it myself. They look identical but it's still always wrong. At this point it feels like a bug.

Great way to teach and memorize Hiragana....but the app doesn't support multiple devices, data isn't saved if you uninstall, and the FAQ mentions the possibility that you may need to repurchase in some cases. If you are only using 1 device then this app is perfect for learning but if you wanted something you can use on any device then not great. It should not be an issue in 2023 anymore. If this ever changes then my rating will be 5 stars.
