This 55-inch 4K TV is a must-have at just $250 before Black Friday

Black Friday is fast approaching, and you can be sure that the annual shopping holiday will feature an overwhelming number of 4K TV deals. However, if you want to make a purchase now for whatever reason, such as avoiding the hassle of congested shipping channels, there are many Walmart TV deals to choose from, including the latest offer on a 55-inch 4K TV from Sceptre for a $60 discount that takes its price down to $240 from its original price of $300.

The Sceptre U550CV-U is a 4K TV with a 55-inch 4K Ultra HD screen and resolution of 3840 x 2160, equivalent to more than 8 million pixels, as well as High Dynamic Range support to show images in more vivid details. The 4K TV offers an effective refresh rate of 60Hz, with four HDMI ports so that you can have multiple devices plugged in for quick switching between them.

However, to lower the 4K TV’s original price, Sceptre didn’t include Android TV, which enables access to a variety of apps such as streaming services. This doesn’t mean that you’ll never get to watch Netflix on its 55-inch display though. One of the options to add smart TV functionality to the Sceptre U550CV-U is through Roku streaming devices, which may be plugged in to the HDMI port to access an internet-connected interface. Roku devices start at $30 for the Roku Express, but it’s highly recommended to target at least the $50 Roku Premiere+ to access 4K content so that your TV’s capabilities aren’t wasted.

If you are looking for a 4K TV as an upgrade to your old TV, or as an addition to any of the rooms in your home, the 55-inch Sceptre U550CV-U is a solid choice. It has its shortcomings, but at a discounted price of $240, down $60 from its original price of $300, it may be difficult to find another 55-inch 4K TV that is this cheap. There’s no telling whether Black Friday will bring a better deal, and if you want to get a head start on your shopping so that you can avoid the chaos, you shouldn’t hold yourself back from clicking that Buy Now button.
