Audioengine, a developer of speaker systems, announced in late February the release of a new speaker system specifically designed for iPods and other portable audio systems. The new Audioengine 5 ispriced at $349 and available now. The Audioengine 5, said Audioengine, has a built-in top combo port for iPods which charges the playerwhile you are listening to music. The iPod is plugged directly into the combo port and is compatible with the fifth generation iPod, iPod nano and other Click Wheel style iPods.
