The Denon Perl Pro earbuds are the best Cyber Week deal I’ve seen in a while

If you’ve never heard of the Buy at Best Buy , I’m not surprised. But don’t let that keep you from taking advantage of this incredible Cyber Week deal on these noise-canceling earbuds. They’re 50% off, making them just $149. Here’s why I think you should snap them up.

The Denon Perl Pro are actually the Nura True Pro. Masimo, Denon’s parent company, acquired Australia-based Nura in April 2023. By June, it had relaunched Nura’s two wireless earbuds (the Nura True and Nura True Pro) as the Denon Perl and Denon Perl Pro.

If you didn’t see any reviews for the Denon Perl or Perl Pro, it’s likely because reviewers like myself weren’t really sure what to say. Since I had reviewed the Nura True Pro only a few months before the acquisition, and since Denon hadn’t made any changes to the Perl Pro other than the brand and the name, I didn’t see the point.

But perhaps I should have because the Denon Perl Pro deserve the same acclaim I gave the Nura True Pro. They are exceptionally good wireless earbuds, even when they’re selling at their regular $299 price. At 50% off, I can’t recommend them enough.

I’ll admit, they look a little unusual with their big disc-shaped outer body, but the part that sits in your ear fits like a glove. Having that larger area on the outside is actually helpful in two ways: It makes the earbuds easier to grab and adjust, and it gives you a generous touch-sensitive area for tap controls.

The real reason to get the Perl Pro, however, is their sound quality. They were notably the first wireless earbuds to support Qualcomm’s aptX Lossless CD quality Bluetooth codec. But even if your phone doesn’t support aptX Lossless, the Perl Pro deliver the kind of detailed sound that rivals the best wireless earbuds like the Sony WF-1000XM5, Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds, and Master & Dynamic MW09.

One of the reasons the Perl Pro sound so great is their Masimo Adaptive Acoustic Technology, which can automatically personalize the tuning of the buds to your specific hearing capabilities. I was skeptical until I tried it, but it worked like a charm. You can disable it if you don’t like what it does, however I think you’ll choose to keep it on.

The Perl Pro offer all of the same top-of-the-line features we’ve come to expect in flagship earbuds: Bluetooth Multipoint, active noise cancellation, transparency mode, hi-res audio, wear sensors, wireless charging, IPX4 water resistance, full app-based customization, and spatial audio.

Some of these work really well. Transparency mode, which Denon calls Social Mode, is a highlight. Others, like ANC and call quality, aren’t quite as good as the competition. But none were deal-breakers — not even when the Nura True Pro were selling for $329 in 2023. Battery life is also more than enough for most folks at a claimed eight hours per charge (with an additional 24 hours in the case).

Again, at just $149, the Denon Perl Pro are an outstanding value. If you want top-notch sound at a price that’s barely above mid-tier, I think you’ll thank me for this one.
