Using an iPhone or iPad

If you're an Apple mobile enthusiast, you likely have the Apple TV+ app installed on your iPhone or iPad — or both! This is probably where you do most of your Apple TV+ viewing.

Step 1: To change the language preferences in the Apple TV+ app on your iOS device, start by opening the app and signing in to your account if you aren't already logged in.

Step 2: Next, select a movie or TV show to watch. During playback, choose the screen to reveal the playback controls at the bottom.

Step 3: Look for a speech bubble icon among the playback buttons; this is the audio and subtitles menu button. Select Audio or Subtitle to see a drop-down menu of all available audio languages and closed captions. Choose the language you prefer, and your Apple TV+ content will switch to that language.

Using a physical Apple TV

One of the best ways to enjoy Apple TV+ is by using an Apple TV set-top box.

Step 1: To change your language preferences on your Apple TV, start by launching the Apple TV+ app and then play a movie or show.

Step 2: While the content is playing, use your Apple TV remote to access the menu options for the show or movie you're watching.

Step 3: Navigate to the right to highlight the Audio option, then move down to view the available language and caption choices for the content you are streaming. Make a choice.

Using a Mac or PC

To change your language preferences in Apple TV+ on either Mac or PC, follow these steps.

Step 1: First, open Apple TV+ and begin playing a movie or show.

Step 2: Next, hover your cursor over the Speech or Audio bubble icon. From there, select your preferred language or captions. That’s it — you’re all set!

Using a smart TV

From Samsung to Vizio, there’s a smart TV for everyone. Most major brands also support Apple TV+. If you want to change the language or caption options in the Apple TV+ app on your TV, follow these steps.

Step 1: Launch the app, start a movie or show, and then use the Down key on your TV remote. This will display the Apple TV+ playback controls.

Step 2: Highlight and select the Subtitles or Audio menu, and then choose the desired language or captions. That’s all there is to it!

Here’s how Apple’s AirPods Pro hearing assistance stacks up to professional results
Apple's hearing test in iOS 18.1.

Apple made waves when it announced that its AirPods Pro 2, when combined with iOS 18.1, could fulfill the role of OTC hearing aids. Given that OTC hearing aids can often run as much as $1,500, it seemed too good to be true that the same hearing benefits could be had for just $249 or less. Better yet, given the popularity of Apple's wireless earbuds, there's an excellent chance that those who could benefit already own them (if you live in a country where Apple's hearing aid feature has been approved).

So how good are the AirPods Pro 2 as OTC hearing aids?
