Amazon knocks 67% off the JBL Clip 3 portable speaker for Black Friday

Add as a preferred source on Google

Amazon has discounted the JBL Clip 3 ahead of Black Friday, dropping the price of the carabiner-toting, ultra-durable, water-resistant Bluetooth portable speaker from $70 down to just $30 — a savings of $40 (67%). That’s $10 cheaper than the Ultimate Ears Wonderboom, reduced from $100 to $40, which is neither as robust or mobile as the JBL. So if you’re searching for a speaker to take on a bike ride or a hike, then look no further.

Build with adventure in mind, the JBL Clip 3 is built to weather all storms. There’s an integrated metal carabiner that will keep it affixed to a backpack during even the most intense activities (we’re looking at you, mountain biking) and durable shell that’s more than capable of withstanding the odd knock, bump, or drop. It’s even water-resistant, so the tunes will keep flowing, even if you take a turn too quickly and end up face-down in a lake.

The sound isn’t bad, either — for its size, at least. Sure, it’s not loud enough to cater to a sold-out show at Madison Square Garden, but there’s certainly enough punch to keep the adrenaline flowing during a workout. Plus, the built-in battery will see it through 10 hours of use. That’s long enough to run a marathon twice or fly from Los Angles to London (be warned: using it on an aircraft will probably get you kicked off, but you get the point).

You don’t need to fret about the price slipping further when we welcome Black Friday tomorrow — even if it does feel like it’s been Black Friday all month — either. Amazon told Digital Trends that the offer is valid through the end of Cyber Monday, December 2. You won’t want to wait until then to take advantage of the offer, though: Amazon is no stranger to pulling a deal when it runs out of stock, with it reserving the right to do so at its will.

The Walkman is alive, sleek as ever, but Sony wants a fortune for it
The Walkman is back for audiophiles with deep pockets and big headphones.
Sony walkman feature shot

Sony has just revealed three new high-end Walkman music players, and yes, you read that right. In a world where most of us listen to music on our phones, Sony is still betting that audiophiles want a separate device for their tunes. The new lineup includes the flagship NW-WM1ZM3, the NW-WM1AM3, and the more “affordable” NW-ZX900.

What makes these Walkmans so special?

Razer’s Barracuda V2 Pro launches with a better mic, longer battery, and a lower price
Razer has also added simultaneous wireless playback, Hybrid ANC, and a detachable boom mic for gaming.
Person wearing Razer barracuda V2 Pro gaming headset

Razer has launched the Barracuda V2 Pro, a new wireless gaming headset that is meant to work just as well away from a desk as it does in front of one. It costs $199.99 and comes with Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation, simultaneous 2.4GHz and Bluetooth audio, THX Spatial Audio+, and up to 70 hours of battery life.

The original Barracuda Pro followed much the same formula. We liked its understated design, balanced audio, and flexible connectivity, but the $250 price, loose fit, and weak microphone made the package harder to recommend. The interesting part here is that Razer seems to have gone directly after a few of those complaints.
