Sony TVs are some of the best in the business, so you can imagine our excitement when we found out about this 85-inch TV deal: For a limited time, you’ll be able to order the Sony 85-inch XR X90L 4K LED for just $1,400, plus applicable sales tax. That’s a $700 discount from its original $2,100 retail price.

We tested the Sony XR X90L a few years back, and our editorial team said, “The Sony X90L is a surprising treat of a TV.”

Why you should buy the Sony 85-inch XR X90L

If you’re looking for an enormous TV that won’t be impacted by glare and reflections in a well-lit room, the Sony X90L should be at the top of your list. Thanks to its powerful full array lighting with local dimming, the X90L achieves vibrant and colorful picture quality with minimal light bloom. SDR brightness is impressive, too, but the TV’s HDR capabilities are simply out of this world! Expect intense specular highlights and enhanced colors when streaming your favorite flicks in 4K HDR (sans HDR10+).

Sony also made sure the X90L upscaled movies and shows better than much of the competition. And thanks to the TV’s native 120Hz refresh rate, HDMI 2.1 connectivity (ports 3 and 4), and VRR and ALLM support, the X90L is one of the best TVs for gaming, especially if you own a PlayStation 5.

Apps, screen mirroring, and smart home controls are available via Google TV once the Sony X90L is connected to the internet. Enjoy access to Netflix, Hulu, Prime Video, and hundreds of free live TV channels.

We’re not sure how long this discount is going to stick around, so today might be the best and last day to save for a minute. Take $700 off the Sony 85-inch XR X90L 4K LED when you purchase today, and be sure to take a look at our lists of the best Sony TV deals, best TV deals, and best QLED TV deals for even more discounts on top Sony sets.

I was skeptical of clip-style open earbuds. After trying my first pair, I don’t want to go back
No pressure, no plugged-up feeling, no fatigue. After months of all-day wear, open-air audio earclips have earned a permanent spot in my routine.

I am not what you would call an audiophile. I don't obsess over terms like LDAC and DSEE upscaling. For me, they're just another utilitarian gadget to get the job done. Somewhere along the way, however, I stopped judging earbuds purely on how they sound and started paying closer attention to how naturally they fit into an ordinary day.

So much of this category now chases bass, noise cancellation, and a spec sheet full of features that comfort has quietly become an afterthought. I recently got a chance to try the Baseus Bowie MC2, my first pair of earclip-style earbuds. It came as a revelation for me. I picked them up from Amazon at $40, so it wasn't a big hit on my wallet either. The leap of faith, I'd say, was well worth it.
