This Dolby Atmos soundbar is on sale for just $100 today

Good Deal The TCL Alto 8 Plus 2.1.2 soundbar and wireless sub set up in a living room.
Walmart

Dolby Atmos is one of the most immersive surround sound formats ever created by audio engineers. It’ll cost you at least a few hundred dollars to start building out a true Atmos configuration though, thanks to all the speakers, wiring, and labor hours you’ll be bankrolling. This is why a lot of folks go with a soundbar instead, and brands like TCL even make bars that virtualize a full Atmos configuration!

As luck would have it, one of these models is actually on sale this week: For a limited time, you’ll only pay $100 for the TCL Alto 8 Plus 2.1.2 Dolby Atmos Soundbar when you shop at Walmart. That’s a $160 discount, considering the bar usually costs $260.

Why you should buy the TCL Alto 8 Plus

Delivering up to 300 watts of bold, immersive home theater sound, the TCL Alto 8 Plus punches well above its weight class in terms of sound quality and overall soundstage. Watching movies and shows and playing video games with this soundbar is an absolute dream come true. You can expect crystal-clear dialogue and vocals, along with impactful bass. There’s even a Bluetooth Mode for streaming music and podcasts wirelessly from a phone or tablet to the Alto 8 Plus!

The bar’s side-firing speakers do a good job of emulating Dolby Atmos and Dolby Digital surround sound configurations. While not as immersive as a soundbar with true up-firing speakers, the Alto 8 Plus manages to pull off some convincing surround effects without all the extra hardware and wiring.

Unfortunately, the soundbar lacks Wi-Fi capabilities and doesn’t include any HDMI inputs, so you won’t be able to connect devices to the soundbar for AV switching.

Save $160 on the TCL Alto 8 Plus Dolby Atmos Soundbar when you purchase today. We also recommend taking a look at our lists of the best soundbar deals, best TCL TV deals, and best Walmart deals for even more discounts on top AV devices.
