Keen not to be left out of the price-cutting action, Best Buy is kicking off its Black Friday deals on Prime Day. But let’s call it what it is, though: This is a Best Buy Prime Day deal, even if it isn’t branded as such. Best Buy has cut the price on the best-selling Dyson Cyclone V10 by $200 for a final price of $350.

The Dyson Cyclone V10 earns its popularity thanks to its powerful suction. It particularly excels at cleaning up pet and animal hair that can otherwise be hard to clean off surfaces. Even carpet, which has a tendency to trap pet hair deep within its fibers, yields to the powerful suction and stiff nylon bristles on the bottom of the Cyclone V10’s cleaning head. The vacuum is also particularly useful for cleaning stairs and smaller spaces thanks to its ability to easily transition from a traditional upright vacuum into a handheld one.

The dust bin is 40% bigger than other vacuums for longer cleaning without the need to empty it out, and the low profile makes it easy to maneuver deep under furniture. The Dyson Cyclone V10 is also built with acoustic baffles. In other words, you can clean the house without drowning out every bit of sound besides the vacuum itself. There are three power modes to choose from: Suction mode 1, suction mode 2, and Max suction mode. For those particularly tough jobs, you’ll want to activate Max suction mode to ensure your floors are getting the deepest clean possible.

The Dyson Cyclone V10 includes a combination nozzle, crevice tool, docking station, dusting brush, Torque driver cleaner head, soft roller cleaner head, and mini motorized tool with the purchase.

This deal likely won’t last past Prime Day, so take advantage of it now. This vacuum cleaner is an excellent choice for pet owners, especially those with animals that tend to shed a lot. Best Buy will be dropping prices from now until Black Friday on a variety of products, so stay tuned to Digital Trends for the best Prime Day vacuum deals and Dyson deals to help you save money.

Apple’s upcoming smart home push is starting to involve more companies than we initially expected. LG is reportedly making a collection of accessories that Apple helped develop, including locks, cameras, a thermostat, and a video doorbell. Now, ADT could potentially have a role to play once some of that hardware reaches your home.

According to MacRumors, there are signs that Apple may announce a partnership with ADT alongside its new smart home products. Nothing has been confirmed yet, but the rumored tie-up would make a lot of sense if Apple wants to make its new ecosystem easier to install.

Apple’s HomePod mini has spent nearly six years running on the same S5 chip. New colors have kept the small speaker looking fresh, but its next update could give it a more useful role around the house. Apple is reportedly preparing a HomePod mini 2 with upgraded processing and connectivity, just as its HomeView smart home display approaches.

Earlier leaks from Apple’s software pointed to a familiar design and new colors. The latest reporting suggests the bigger changes will be inside, giving the speaker the hardware to support Siri AI and work alongside Apple’s upcoming home hub.

Apple’s October 13 “Welcome Home” event is just days away, and new details of the company’s long-rumored smart home hub have surfaced. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the device will be called HomeView and is expected to ship around mid-November, several weeks after Apple shows it off on October 13.

We have been hearing about this device for quite some time. Earlier reports described a roughly 6-inch square display that could sit on a countertop or mount to a wall, recognize different members of a household, and act as the central controller for everything from locks and thermostats to smart speakers. The latest report fills in some of the biggest remaining blanks.
