Geneva releases Model XS sound system inspired by vintage travel clocks

The Swiss engineers at Geneva Audio, known for its high-quality Hi-Fi offerings, are now giving customers a reason to take quality sound wherever they go with the Model XS travel sound system ($250). The new portable sound system was inspired by the folding design of classic travel clocks, but this model is all high-tech with a Hi-Fi system complete with speakers, amplifiers, a radio, and an alarm clock, all in one sleek design.

The sound system neatly hides all these features in a smart clamshell case that opens and closes for portability and convenience. The audio includes a 2.1 speaker system with two 1-inch tweeters and one 2¼-inch woofer, and each speaker is individually chambered and powered, giving users the most accurate acoustics. The Model XS features an LED display, ToughLight controls, and uses a rechargeable lithium-ion battery that gives up to 5 hours of playback. The portable sound system will stream music from any Bluetooth-capable device (almost any smartphone), and other devices can be connected via a 3.5mm jack for audio playback. The Geneva Model XS is available in either black, white, or red and can be pre-ordered now.

Ring Doorbell mounted outside a front door.

Take a walk through any neighborhood, and you're bound to see a few Ring video doorbells installed next to front doors. The brand is increasingly popular, thanks to an ever-growing product lineup that makes it easy to find a device for all budgets and security needs. But one of the peskier features of Ring is the need for a Ring Protect Plan -- a monthly subscription service that unlocks the majority of the camera's most useful features.

One such feature locked behind a Ring Protect Plan membership is the ability to save Ring doorbell videos. Without a plan, you'll really only be allowed to view a live feed of your video doorbell. The plans are pretty generous, with the Basic plan costing $5 per month and offering video history for up to 180 days, making it a worthwhile investment for homes worried about their security.
