After showcasing its latest home power backup products at CES in January, Anker has now officially launched the Solix E10. Touted as the “world’s first smart hybrid whole-home backup system,” the Solix E10 combines a smart fuel generator, battery storage, and solar input with auto and manual switch options to deliver near-infinite backup capability.

Anker says a single Solix E10 unit can provide up to 37.2kW power, enough to start high-power appliances like a 5-ton air conditioner. It can be paired with up to three other units to hit 90kWh of storage, designed to offer higher reserves of power when needed – for instance, during an outage.

The Power Dock features a 20ms automatic switch that transitions to backup power without damaging connected appliances. Alternatively, buyers can pair the Solix E10 with a Smart Inlet Box for a more cost-effective setup, though this option requires manual switchover during outages.

The Solix E10 supports 9kW of solar input per unit (boosting that to 27kW when combining three units). Anker says it’s compatible with all solar panels, including rigid, portable, existing AC-coupled rooftop solar systems, and third-party panels. Buyers can also charge the battery directly with the smart generator via a DC connection, which can extend backup duration by up to five times compared to traditional AC generators.

Anker has also confirmed the Solix E10 carries a NEMA 4 waterproof rating and is designed for outdoor installation. The system operates reliably in temperatures ranging from -4°F to 131°F, making it suitable for use during extreme winter storms and summer heat.

The Smart Generator now officially supports backward compatibility with existing Anker SOLIX portable power stations, including the F3800, F3800 Plus, and F3000, allowing current Anker users to integrate the generator into their existing setups.

Available now, shipping nationwide

The Anker SOLIX E10 is available now and shipping nationwide from Anker SOLIX and Amazon.

The base Solix E10 system, which includes one inverter and one battery, starts at $4,299. A bundle that adds an additional battery and Smart Inlet Box is priced at $6,599.

Pricing increases to $7,799 for the base system with an additional battery and Power Dock, while the full kit — which includes the base system, Power Dock, and Smart Generator — is priced at $9,399.

All configurations include a standard 5-year warranty. As part of a launch promotion running from February 4 through February 28, customers who purchase any Solix E10 bundle receive a free 400W solar panel, an accessory kit, and an extended 3-year warranty at no additional cost.

The Google Home Speaker is impressive, until you look at the power cable
Sphere, Electronics, Speaker

The Google Home Speaker hasn't even started shipping yet, but one lucky buyer managed to grab one early and share their first impressions. While most of the news is positive, there's one detail that won't sit well with anyone who cares about repairability.

For the unaware, Google announced the speaker back in October 2025, and pre-orders went live last week. Priced at $99, it's the company's first new speaker in six years, so people have plenty of questions.
