One of the big selling points of the Motorola Droid Turbo 2, also known as the Moto X Force, is the fact that it’s tough. Motorola’s ShatterShield technology ensures that the screen won’t break, even after a fall, but that aluminum frame is slippery and it could get scuffed or dinged quite easily. It’s also not the best looking phone in the world, so you may prefer to give it a new look. Time to shop for the best Motorola Droid Turbo 2 cases, or, if you’re outside the States, the best Moto X Force cases.

You can trust that your Motorola Droid Turbo 2 is safe when it’s inside an OtterBox. The two-piece Commuter isn’t the most protective case the company makes makes, but the blend of a polycarbonate shell with a rubber interior provides solid protection from drops and bumps. The button covers are molded and very usable, the cut-outs are big enough for uninterrupted access, and there’s a raised bezel to keep the screen off surfaces. The matte finish is soft to the touch and easy to grip. You can get it in navy blue, grey, or black. The gloss Diztronic logo on the side detracts a little, but otherwise it’s a plain option.

The aptly-named Tough case from Case-Mate sports a dual-layer design that should keep your Droid Turbo 2 safe from impact damage. There’s a special textured, diamond-pattern finish that really enhances the grip and helps it blend in with the phone. The openings are large, so you can access ports and use the camera without any trouble. There is a tiny logo at the bottom of the back, but it’s subtle and the only other detail to speak of is the metallic button covers, which work really nicely.
