Users of social network Facebook are reporting issues with the service this morning, August 14. If you had trouble using Facebook, it seems you were not alone.

Facebook outage: what happened?

  • 8:30am PT: Reports have dipped low enough to suggest normal service has resumed
  • 6:30am PT: After a second spike, reports are on the way down again
  • 4am PT: Reports of a Facebook outage start to drop in the US, suggesting the issue may be fixed
  • 3am PT: Reports continue to increase in the US, while UK reports decline sharply
  • 2am PT: Reports of a Facebook issue first spike in the US & UK
