Flurry Claims Heightened iPhone OS Development Caused By iPad

ipad-gamingFlurry Analytics announced today via blog post that the recent spike in iPhone OS applications are most likely linked to the Apple’s iPad. Flurry, who provides tools to mobile app developers, says that developers creating iPhone OS applications tripled in January, establishing the largest surge of new applications in the company’s history. Flurry says they excitement generated by the iPad in January made developers put their best foot forward and have been whipping their developing skills into shape. The iPad will provide a great platform for mobile developers, and the number of people developing has grown exponentially since 2009.

“Flurry measures the relative support developers dedicate to iPhone versus Android platforms by tracking new application starts within its system,” says the Flurry blog. “While Android’s steady new application growth over the second half of 2009 closed the gap against the iPhone, reaching as many as one out of every three new applications starts within Flurry for December, the recent spike in Apple iPad support has swung the pendulum back in Apple’s favor to a level not seen at Flurry in six months.”

Flurry says that although Android has been getting a lot of open development action, the recent spike in Apple iPad support has swung the pendulum back in Apple’s favor to “a level not seen at Flurry in six months.”

Someone holding an iPhone 15 Pro Max outside on a patio, showing the back of the Natural Titanium color.

If you want the best iPhone money can buy in 2024, you have two options: the iPhone 15 Pro and the iPhone 15 Pro Max. They have the same chipset, similar display technology, nearly identical cameras, etc. It's a really close battle, save for the fact that the iPhone 15 Pro is $200 cheaper.

It might be tempting to save some cash and choose the iPhone 15 Pro, but I recommend you splurge for the larger (and more expensive) iPhone 15 Pro Max. Why? Let me explain.
It's a big iPhone you won't hate using
