Gresso’s solid titanium Android phone on sale for $1,800

Mobile phone one-upmanship can be a tricky game to play: no sooner have you bagged yourself a top-of-the-range handset than something else comes along to up the stakes even further. Gresso now offers the opportunity to really stand out from the crowd with a solid titanium handset that will cost you the best part of $2k.

Most of your money is going on materials, as the specs aren’t as eye-watering as you’d expect: the mobile runs on a quad-core 1.2GHz processor, comes with 36GB of internal storage, and has a 4.5-inch Gorilla Glass display with a decidedly underwhelming resolution of 540 x 960 pixels. Still, that grade 5 solid titanium should be enough to get heads turning in your direction.

The mobile also comes with an 8 megapixel camera to capture the admiring glances of your friends, and dual SIM support so you can run two numbers from it. The $1,800 model is actually at the bottom of the range, with 18k yellow and white gold models on offer for $2,300. Check out the full Radical range of products here.

This isn’t Gresso’s first foray into luxury mobile phones: you may remember the company brought out a Black Diamond range several years ago. You’ll need to make your mind up quickly if you’re after one of the newer handsets, as there’s a limited edition run of 999.

The titanium certainly adds to the weight of the device, which comes in at 219g (the new Nexus 5, in comparison, weighs 130g). That said, you shouldn’t need to fork out extra for a case.

March 4 is going to be a big day for this fun Android phone brand
The rear panel and camera island on the Nothing Phone 2a.

Nothing has released yet another vague teaser for what could be a new smartphone, but this time the information shared includes a date and time: 10 a.m. GMT on March 4. The post, first shared to Nothing's X account, doesn't share many details — just a vague shape that some fans have already tied to the phone's camera module, or perhaps its iconic glyph interface.

Nothing is no stranger to cryptic teasers; in fact, it's one of the company's preferred marketing methods. Nothing has a history of slowly doling out information in the weeks leading up to launch, and that technique has proven effective in building hype.

I found two of the most ridiculous Android phones I’ve ever seen at CES 2025
The Oukitel WP100 Titan at CES 2025.

One of my favorite things about big trade shows like CES is all the weird stuff you can come across. It's cool to see big announcements from well-known brands, but it's sometimes more fun to find something utterly bizarre that you weren't expecting. That's precisely what happened when I visited Oukitel's booth at CES 2025.

Oukitel isn't a household name in the U.S., though the 18-year-old company has a history of creating some of the weirdest and wackiest Android phones on the market. I saw two of them at this year's CES, both of which are hilariously over-the-top.

Another Nothing Phone can now download the Android 15 beta
The Nothing Phone 2, Nothing Phone 2a, and Nothing Phone 2a Plus.

Nothing has been running an open beta of Android 15 with Nothing OS 3.0 for several of its devices, including the Nothing Phone 2, Phone 2a, and CMF Phone 1. But now, if you have a Nothing Phone 2a Plus, you can also get the Android 15 beta.

The Nothing Phone 2a Plus is a bit of a weird phone. It’s another phone in the trend of manufacturers releasing something that is “new-but-not-really,” because the Nothing Phone 2a Plus is mostly the same as the Nothing Phone 2a, but with a slight bump in specs.
