Jabra Unveils New Bluetooth Headsets

The JABRA SP100 is a speakerphone is the first high-quality wireless mobile speakerphone. It can clip to your visor or mount on the window with a suction cup and requires no fixed installation, so it can be moved from to other vehicles as you please.

With Bluetooth 1.1 or higher compatibility, it will work with almost all Bluetooth enabled mobile phones on the market. The speakerphone has a range of up to 30 feet to a mobile phone and utilizes long-lasting, rechargeable AA batteries. It provides up to 12 hours of talk time and up to 20 days of standby time. An AC adapter and vehicle power charger are also included. The speakerphone is similar in size to a smart phone. MSRP for JABRA SP100 is $149 and should be available Q2 2004.

The three Bluetooth headsets are the JABRA BT500, successor of the B200 and BT250 models. The BT800 full-featured headset, and the BT110 entry level headset.

The BT500 is an ultra-lightweight (20 grams) headset and is 30 percent slimmer than the earlier generation products. With up to 8 hours of talk time and 240 hours of standby time, the headset also features increased range, faster connection to the phone and improved audio quality. Additional features such as a LED indicator to display charging and battery levels, and a dedicated pairing button, are designed to offer greater convenience and ease of use to consumers. JABRA BT500 is also equipped with an additional charging option via a USB cable from a laptop or desktop computer.

The stylish JABRA BT800 takes Bluetooth headsets to the next level. Weighing only 25 grams, the headset’s new ear hook wearing style ensures a secure and comfortable fit. With up to 6 hours of talk time and 200 hours of standby time, the headset features a backlit LED display for caller ID and an easy-to-use jog wheel to access menu options. In addition, users can select their favorite ring tones in the headset or use the built-in call-vibrate feature. The headset also features DSP (Digital Signal Processing) that improves audio quality in windy or noisy environments and automatically adjusts volume levels in response to background noise. Users can also mute the headset with one touch. JABRA BT800 complies with Bluetooth version 1.2.

Keeping it simple, JABRA BT110 is for anyone who wants to enjoy the basic benefits of a wireless headset. It provides 15 hours of talk time on a single AAA battery and its automatic power-down feature allows users to never worry about standby time.
