Do you still want a physical keyboard with your touchscreen phone? If so, the latest addition to Verizon’s smartphone range could be of interest. It’s the LG Enact, and although at first glance it looks like a regular Android phone, it has that all important slide-out QWERTY keyboard.

Announced today, the LG Enact is a low to mid-range Android smartphone with a budget price tag. It has a 4-inch touchscreen with a 480 x 800 pixel resolution, and is powered by a dual-core, Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor which boasts a clock speed of 1.2GHz. Slide the bottom section of the phone out and you’re presented with a 5-line QWERTY keyboard on which to type your missives.

Flip the phone over and you’ll find the lens to a 5-megapixel camera and an LED flash, while around the front is a second, VGA video call camera. LG has installed Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean, and has added its own user interface with various apps, such as Q Translator, QuickMemo, and the voice activated camera shutter. The spec sheet closes with 8GB of internal storage space, a microSD card slot, 1080p video recording, and a 2460mAh battery.

The LG Enact is available through Verizon’s online store now for just $20, although you will have to sign-up for two-years if you want it for that price. Without the contract, the phone is $350. The good news is the LG Enact will connect to Verizon’s 4G LTE network.

Today is a big day for Verizon, as the long-awaited HTC One also makes its debut. The flagship phone from HTC is more expensive than the LG Enact, at $200 with a two-year contract, but you do get a 4.7-inch, 1080p display, a sleek aluminum chassis, and a quad-core processor.

Nomad’s new iPhone case and Apple Watch band may be its coolest yet
Nomad Glow 2.0 Sport Case and Apple Watch Sport Band in daylight.

Though the world of Apple accessories is a dime a dozen, one of the better brands that you can buy is Nomad. Nomad has a variety of amazing leather Apple Watch bands and cases, as well as non-leather options, too. In August 2023, Nomad released a one-of-a-kind Glow in the Dark Apple Watch band that sold out in about 12 hours.

Since that Glow in the Dark band was a limited edition, no one was sure if Nomad was going to re-release it, and this explains the high resale prices you’ll find on eBay. But Nomad just released the Glow 2.0 Apple Watch Sport Band as well as a new Glow 2.0 Sport Case for the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. And, yes, they're just as wonderful as before.
