Sprint and the NFL yesterday announced a deal which will bring coverage of football league’s draft to mobile Sprint TV customers April 29-30. Sprint will be the only wireless carrier to offer the draft coverage to mobile phone users.
As part of the NFL draft coverage, said Sprint, options for viewing will exist through the NFL Mobile application or via a dedicated package of specific draft coverage. Being produced by NFL Network, features of this coverage will include in-depth personality profiles of the top 30 projected draftees and interviews of “blue-chip†draftees.
“Whether in the stands or in fans’ hands, Sprint continues to give customers new ways to follow the NFL,” said Steve Gaffney, Sprint’s director of sports marketing, in a statement. “Sprint’s NFL sponsorship has changed the way fans get NFL information and now how they will follow the NFL Draft. This is original and exclusive content delivered directly to the third screen on the one device they carry every day – their wireless phone.”
