Samsung has historically announced new Galaxy Note flagship smartphones at a Galaxy Unpacked event in early August, and with Ice Universe’s claim, it appears that the company remains on track despite the disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The event is also expected to be an online-only affair, similar to how Apple staged this year’s Worldwide Developers Conference.

The leaker also took a stab at predicting the price tag of the Galaxy Note 20 and its larger version, which will reportedly be named the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra.

Predict the price of the Galaxy Note20 series:
Note20, $999
Note20 Ultra, $1299

Samsung recently accidentally released a render of the Galaxy Note 20 on its Ukrainian official website, providing the best look at the smartphone yet in its Mystic Bronze color option. The image, which has since been removed, reveals three camera sensors at the back of the device housed in a large camera bump, alongside an S Pen stylus.

Next Samsung Unpacked event

At the upcoming event, Samsung is also expected to unveil the Galaxy Fold 2, which is rumored to cost and weigh a bit less than its predecessor. A  cheaper version of the folding smartphone, the Galaxy Fold Lite with a $900 price tag, was said to be initially planned to appear at the event, but was postponed to 2021.

Samsung will also reportedly announce the Galaxy Watch 3 at the event. Leaked images revealed that the Galaxy Watch 3 will look mostly the same as the Galaxy S2, and will hopefully bring back the rotating bezel.

Samsung has already had a very busy 2024, from launching three new Galaxy S phones to teasing its upcoming Galaxy Ring. Now, we reportedly have our first look at the company's upcoming foldable — the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6.

Early in the morning on February 28, leaker @OnLeaks teamed up with SmartPrix to share design renders of the Fold 6. At first glance, the Fold 6 looks a lot like last year's Galaxy Z Fold 5. There's a narrow 6.2-inch cover screen on the outside, and when the Fold 6 is opened, you get a 7.6-inch inner display. It's reported that the Fold 6's dimensions measure 153.5 x 132.5 x 6.1mm when it's unfolded, making it slightly shorter and wider than the Fold 5.

For many people, a reason to upgrade their smartphone regularly is for the improved camera upgrades that companies include each year for flagship devices. We’re still early on in the year, and both Samsung and OnePlus have launched their next generation of flagship devices with the Galaxy S24 and OnePlus 12.

Both phones are powered with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip for fast performance, come with 8GB–16GB RAM, plenty of storage, and the latest version of Android 14. And to top things off, the cameras on both are impressive, with the OnePlus having slightly better specs.

A photo of the Samsung Galaxy Ring teased at Unpacked 2024.

Last year, there was much talk about Samsung launching a smart ring to compete with the likes of the Oura ring, and last month it became a reality when the Korean company teased the Galaxy Ring in a slick video at the end of its Unpacked event.

It all went a bit quiet after that ... until now, that is.
