In the market for a new Android-powered smartphone? If you can stand to wait, weโd suggest you hold out just a little bit longer. According to SamMobile.com, South Korea-based Samsung is going to unveil the next generation in the line of Galaxy phones on March 14. This information stems from a tweet sent by Eldar Murtazin, the founder of Russian telecom website Mobile-Review.
We have to admit, itโs a little strange for Samsung to wait to make this announcement after this yearโs Mobile World Congress – we hear they are skipping out on it – which takes place in Barcelona just two weeks prior. But perhaps they donโt want their big announcement to be lost in a sea of mobile innovations.
There isnโt too much news about the Galaxy S4, but as far as appearance, itโsย very likely goingย to have much the same look as the Galaxy S3. The real improvements will be on the guts of the device. Each is expected to have a nearly 5-inch Super AMOLED high definition screen, 2GB of RAM, 13-megapixel rear-facing camera, two megapixel front-facing camera, and will run on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.
Weโre not sure where exactly the announcement will be made, but the latest rumor places it at some undisclosed event in New York City.
