Samsung’s revamped smaller tablet, the Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus is bound for T-Mobile. The carrier announced that it will carry the 7-inch tablet beginning Nov. 16. The Tab 7.0 Plus is a revamp of the original Galaxy Tab 7-inch tablet, but shares most of its design characteristics with the recently released Galaxy Tab 10.1 and Galaxy Tab 8.9 tablets. That means it’s quite thin at 9.96mm (though not as thin as the larger tablets) and the lightest Galaxy Tab yet at just .77 pounds (345g).

The Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus is a fully-featured tablet, running on Google’s Android 3.2 (Honeycomb) operating system with Samsung’s TouchWiz user interface, a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 16GB of internal storage, 1GB of RAM, a 3MP rear camera, a 2MP front camera, and a microSD card slot for expanded memory storage. It also has a 1024×600 pixel screen. Full specs can be found at Samsung’s official site

Unfortunately, a nice tablet doesn’t come cheap. The Tab 7.0 Plus will be available on Nov. 16 for a $250 “down payment.” After you purchase the device, which requires a 2-year data contract, you’ll have to send in a $50 mail-in rebate to get that price and also make “20 interest free monthly payments of $10.” This makes the total price of the tablet $450-$500 and you’ll be stuck paying for its data for two years. Good deal? We’ll let you decide. We are definitely fans of the larger Samsung tablets, but we haven’t yet had a chance to use Samsung’s new 7-inch device.

The Tab 7.0 Plus joins the Galaxy Tab 10.1, T-Mobile G-Slate, T-Mobile SpringBoard, original Samsung Galaxy Tab, and the Dell Streak 7 on T-Mobile here in the United States. You can view the tablets on T-Mobile’s site

Have one of these Samsung devices? You won’t get software updates anymore
Four galaxy z flip3 5g phones.

When you buy a phone, you expect it to work for at least a couple of years, if not longer. For many people, the time to upgrade to a new device is when it no longer receives security updates. Samsung has announced the Galaxy Z Flip 5G, Galaxy Tab S7, and Galaxy Tab S7 Plus will receive no more software updates. All three devices are now four years old, having launched in August 2020. That's about the average timespan for supporting mobile devices, but it still feels a little too short.

If you own one of these three gadgets, you might want to think about getting a newer version. While the Z Flip 5G, Tab S7, and Tab S7 Plus will all continue to work (at least for a while), they will be less secure. Software updates aren't just for improving performance and adding new features but also for patching vulnerabilities that could put your data at risk. If nothing else, make sure to use a VPN when handling any personal or banking information.

How to save $400 on the new Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE
The standard Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE. (not the plus version)

There's always a lot of interest whenever there's a chance to get a new device for much cheaper than usual from Samsung Galaxy deals, and we don't think this will turn out any different -- the opportunity to get up to $400 off when buying the 6GB RAM, 128GB SSD model of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE through Samsung's trade-in program. That includes a regular $100 price cut plus up to $300 off with an eligible trade-in device. Instead of $550, you may be able to get the device for only $150, but you're going to have to hurry if you're interested in this offer because we're not sure how long it will remain available.

Why you should buy the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE, released less than a year ago, is the smaller cousin of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE Plus, as the former features a 10.9-inch touchscreen with 2304 x 1440 resolution while the latter comes with a 12.4-inch touchscreen with 2560 x 1600 resolution. This makes the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE a bit more portable, and it's a fantastic mobile device for keeping yourself busy during your travels and for boosting your productivity. With its Samsung Exynos 1380 processor, an Arm Mali-G68 GPU, and 6GB of RAM, you'll be able to easily multitask between apps when you're watching streaming shows, browsing social media, and working on online spreadsheets.
