Need another reason to head to Verizon, other than its consistent standing as the number one wireless carrier? Maybe the Asus ZenPad Z10 tablet will provide that extra motivation. On Thursday, the mobile service provider unveiled its newest store offering — the LTE Advanced-enabled Asus ZenPad Z10 tablet, available exclusively at Verizon. With a 9.7-inch 2K display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 hexa-core 64-bit processor, and 3GB RAM, this may just be the tablet you’ve been waiting for.

Similar to another exclusive Verizon product, the ZenPad Z8, the Z10 promises the capacity to multitask like never before. With its Adreno 510 GPU, users will be able to enjoy “rich multimedia and gaming experiences,” all on the 2,048 x 1,536 pixel display. And thanks to the built-in Asus VisualMaster technology, Asus notes that its newest tablet “further optimizes contrast, sharpness, and motion clarity depending on the situation, automatically choosing the best settings for movie, gaming, and outdoor scenarios.”

Not only will you be able to see remarkably well on the Z10, but you’ll also be able to hear clearly — thanks to the tablet’s dual stereo speakers and DTS-HD support, you’ll have access to a premium surround-sound experience when you don headphones.

“Asus is excited to launch the ZenPad Z10, further expanding our relationship and product offerings with Verizon. The Asus ZenPad Z10 brings a premium and powerful tablet experience at a great price,” said Benson Lin, corporate vice president and general manager for mobile communications for Asus. “We look forward to continuing to offer great products on Verizon’s expansive 4G LTE network.”

The Z10 also comes with a micro SD slot so that you can further expand the tablet’s internal 32GB storage by up to 128GB. And of course, your new tablet will be supported by Verizon’s 4G LTE network.

You can order the Asus ZenPad Z10 tablet here, or pick one up in Verizon stores starting October 13.

iPhone XR -- from $136

A refurbished model but one that's unlocked and comes with a full one-year warranty, the Apple iPhone XR is still pretty stylish for its age. It has a large 6.1-inch LCD screen with 1,792 x 828 resolution with Liquid Retina technology ensuring it looks super sharp. Powered by the A12 Bionic chip, it's starting to show its age but still has potential. There's also a 12MP back camera that can shoot 4K videos while the front-facing camera is 7MP and ideal for selfie-taking.

The backs of Apple's iPad Air and iPad Pro, with the tablets place on a table.

Apple's iPad is undoubtedly one of the most popular tablets on the market right now. There are several different models to choose from, but no matter which one you go with, you'll be getting one of the best tablets out there. Still, Apple provides an abundance of choice here, and with so many different versions — and almost annual updates — it can be tricky to know which one is the best to get.

Apple is about to do the unthinkable to its iPads
A person holding the iPad Air 4.

Earlier today, Apple announced that new iPads are coming this May. In my eyes, this seems to be “The Chosen One” generation. We’re likely getting an OLED display, a better keyboard (hopefully), and a chip ready to chomp the AI dinner. This gadget shall finally fill the techno-digital void in my life. At last.

Or maybe I am just trying to blindly convince myself to splurge over a thousand dollars for a machine that is “still not a Mac” and “can never be a fully fleshed out workstation.” But hey, people are spending $3,500 on a headset that gives them a headache and $700 for an AI thingamajig that can’t quite figure out what it really wants to do.
