The Devil Inside follows a young woman whose mother murdered several people during an exorcism when the woman was a child. After the murders her mother ended up in a Catholic mental hospital in Italy. The daughter travels to Rome to find out whether or not she is susceptible to her mother’s disease – or infestation. Through this she becomes involved in a series of unauthorized exorcisms.
Based on this trailer the movie seems to be taking a mockumentary style. Although it seems to liberally switch between that and a more traditional drama style as well.
The Devil Inside should be out on January 6th, 2012.
