Avatar three-disc extended collectors set due in November

Fans of Avatar that are eager to continue lining the pockets of Fox and James Cameron will have their chance, again on November 16, when the Avatar Three-Disc Extended Collector’s Edition is released on Blu-ray and DVD. The set will mark the fourth separate instance of new money coming in from Avatar (not counting novels, games, merchandise, etc.) following the original release, the first DVD and Blu-ray release, and the recent theatrical re-release that contained additional footage. The set does not include a 3D version of the movie, so expect a fifth opportunity to pay for Avatar sometime next year.

The upcoming set includes three versions of the movie: the original theatrical release, the re-release that features six minutes of additional footage, and an extended edition which is 16 minutes longer than the original, including an alternate opening. The set also includes over 45 minutes of deleted scenes, and both the DVD and Blu-ray versions are packed full of extras- especially the Blu-ray version.

The DVD version will feature the films on both the first and second disc, while the Blu-ray will offer all three movies on one disc, and use both the second and third for additional features.

Both versions will contain special features, including making of features, deleted scenes and productions shorts. The Blu-ray edition will also include interactive scene deconstructions, as well as archives that include a full encyclopedia of life on Pandora, and a digital copy of the original 300-page script.

Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds in Deadpool & Wolverine.

During the Super Bowl, the first trailer for Deadpool & Wolverine had a notable lack of Wolverine. The reveal of Hugh Jackman's iconic comic book movie hero was saved for another time, which has now arrived. Marvel Studios has released the second trailer for Deadpool & Wolverine, which features Wolverine almost immediately coming face-to-face with Deadpool. And he's not happy to see him.
