Now that the turkey is in sandwich mode and the holiday shopping is underway (from home we hope, for your sake), it’s time to unwind with some great TV binging. From dramas to sci-fi, psychological thrillers and documentaries, there is something new for everyone to stream in December.

Below are some of our favorite new series and their premiere dates to start your December off right.
The Witcher (December 20)
This fantasy epic, which will be released on December 20 and has already been renewed for a second season, is based on the book series of the same name, written by Andrzej Sapkowski. Geralt of Rivia (Henry Cavill) is a solitary monster hunter who crosses paths with a powerful sorceress and young princess, and they travel together through a volatile continent. The first teaser trailer was released at San Diego Comic-Con in July, but check out the full trailer above for a deeper look at the series.
Lost in Space – Season 2 (December 24)
This sci-fi series is a reboot of the 1965 version of the same name, which itself was a reimagining of the 1812 novel The Swiss Family Robinson. Premiering its first season in April 2018, the series follows a family of space colonists who find themselves marooned on a planet that is almost uninhabitable. They must try to find a way back to their original destination where they were tasked with colonizing a star system. Season 2 will premiere on Christmas Eve.

YOU – Season 2 (December 26)
After a shocking end to season 1 of this psychological thriller based on the 2014 novel by Caroline Kepnes, Joe Goldberg (Penn Badgley) is back, taking his obsessions somewhere else this time. He’s an oddly likable sociopathic serial killer with a warped way of justifying his insidious actions. It’ll be exciting to see where the story goes in season 2, and the show will make the perfect Boxing Day binge, coming out on December 26.

Servant (Nov-January)
In this gripping, psychological thriller, you’ll get exactly what you might expect from an M. Night Shyamalan project. Like Black Mirror meets American Horror Story, it tells the story of a couple who hire a young woman as a nanny for their newborn baby, but (of course) things aren’t what they seem. Each episode brings new twists, turns, questions, and suspenseful moments. It stars Tony Kebbell (Black Mirror), Lauren Ambrose (The X-Files), Nell Tiger Free (Game of Thrones), and Rupert Grint (Harry Potter series). The first three episodes debuted on November 28, with the remaining seven set to released weekly through December and January.
Truth Be Told (December 6)
In this drama based on the novel Are You Sleeping by Kathleen Barber, Octavia Spencer plays Poppy Parnell, an investigative reporter with a popular true crime podcast who realizes that a young man she helped put away for life through her reporting, Warren Cave (Aaron Paul), might actually be innocent. Rife with guilt, she tries to get to the bottom of the situation and find the real killer. Lizzy Caplan also stars in a dual role as twin daughters of the man who was murdered along with Elizabeth Perkins as Warren’s mother, Mekhi Phifer as a former detective and friend of Poppy’s. The first three episodes will premiere on December 6, with additional episodes weekly thereafter.

One Day at Disney (December 3)
While this one will debut as a documentary film on December 3, it will be followed by 52 shorts that are released as a series of weekly episodes. It follows employees from different divisions of Disney to show “a day in the life” of their diverse jobs. Everyone from Imagineers to animators will make an appearance, along with workers on the Disneyland Railroad, Marvel Studios, and even the Resort veterinarian. It should provide a fascinating look behind-the-scenes at one of the most iconic brands in entertainment, with narration by Sterling K. Brown (This Is Us).
DISNEY+
Reprisal (December 6)
Set to premiere on December 6, this female-led drama stars Abigail Spencer (Timeless, Suits) as Katherine Harlow/Doris Quinn, a femme fatale who seeks vengeance against a gang of outlaws who left her for dead. From the producers of The Handmaid’s Tale, the trailer suggests a dark neo-noir story with elements reminiscent of series like Sons of Anarchy. There’s even an appearance by Ron Perlman. Other notables in the cast include Mena Massoud (Aladdin), Rodrigo Santoro (Westworld), Madison Davenport (Sharp Objects), and Rhys Wakefield (True Detective).

Marvel’s Runaways – Season 3 (December 13)
This popular series from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) will return for its third and final season, picking off where it left off with six teenage runaways from different backgrounds who unite to fight their parents, known as the Pride. Joining the cast this season will be Elizabeth Hurley as the primary antagonist Morgan le Fay, a supervillain and enemy of The Avengers. The show’s final 10 episodes will premiere starting December 13.

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel – Season 3 (December 6)
The Emmy Award-winning series will return for its third season on December 6, continuing to follow the story of divorcee Miriam “Midge” Maisel, who transforms from housewife to successful stand-up comedian. A period comedy-drama set in the ’50s, the show stars Rachel Brosnahan as the title character along with Alex Borstein as her friend and manager and Tony Shalhoub and Marin Hinkle as her parents.

The Expanse – Season 4 (December 13)
This sci-fi series based on the James S. Corney novels of the same name continues on December 13 with a 10-episode fourth season. The highly praised series is set in the future, where a group of antiheroes find themselves in the middle of a conspiracy that threatens peace in their Solar System. Originally appearing on Syfy, the network canceled the series last May, only to find Amazon sweeping it up. And don’t worry, it’s already been renewed for a fifth season as well.
