Hogwarts Great Hall hosting Christmas dinner for dozens of Harry Potter fans

If you haven’t wondered what it would be like to attend classes at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardy, which house you might belong to, or what quidditch position you’d be best suited to, then you’re probably not a Harry Potter fan.

But if you wondered far too much about all of the above, you may be able to make at least part of that fantasy come true.

Screen Crush reports that on Thursday, December 3 at the Warner Bros. Studio Tour in London, Hogwarts Great Hall will be decked out in its Christmas-y best and will host Harry Potter superfans for a holiday feast. A wand from Ollivander’s will be waiting at each seat and attendees will have the opportunity to scarf down two courses from a menu inspired by the films (e.g. Flaming Christmas Pudding).

So what’s the catch, you ask? The price. The price is most certainly the catch. The experience will set you back 230 British pounds, which translates to around $350 American dollars. Yikes.

That being said, we’re sure there are some fans out there that would consider that a pittance for what’s included in this tour.

In addition to dinner, the package allows fans to explore iconic sets from the movie, take dessert on Platform 9 3/4 alongside the Hogwarts Express, take a stroll up Diagon Alley, drink Butterbeer in the backlot cafe, and catch a glimpse of the Hogwarts castle exterior, dusted with a layer of (fake) snow.

So long as he who must not be named isn’t on the guest list, that sounds like a pretty good time.

The only thing that’s missing is shot of polyjuice potion to let you assume the identity of your favorite character. We call Professor Dumbledore.

Merry Christmas, Potter fans!

7 best Harry Potter villains, ranked
Death Eaters assemble on a mountain in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows Part 2.

Over the course of the story of Harry Potter, a number of genuinely engaging heroes were created. Alongside those heroes, though, were equally compelling villains that we simply loved to hate. Some of those villains were archetypal, while others came in more unexpected molds -- and several even became some of the best villains in movie history.

Each one of them was terrifying in their own way, though, and Harry had to face each of them at least once over the course of his journey. While there are more than seven villains in the world of Harry Potter, we've narrowed this list down to the most sinister, at least from our perspective.
7. The Dursleys

Spider-Man vs. Harry Potter: Which one is the best?
Tobey Maguire as Spider-Man and Daniel Radcliffe as Harry Potter.

Although the magical Hogwarts adventures of Harry Potter and the super villaininfested New York City of Spider-Man are worlds apart, the two franchises have a common history in this century. The first Potter movie, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, arrived in theaters in November 2001. Six months later, Spider-Man marked his big-screen debut in May 2002. Both film series went on to be among the highest-grossing franchises ever.

There isn't a true rivalry between Spider-Man and Harry Potter fans in the way that fans would pit comic book heroes against each other. Comic book crossovers actually exist that have put Spider-Man in stories opposite Superman and Batman, the only superheroes who are on his level or beyond. A Spider-Man and Harry Potter crossover is unlikely to ever happen outside the realm of fan fiction, but their similar history makes it an intriguing matchup. So we've decided to compare them in five key categories in order to determine who would be the winner in a Spider-Man versus Harry Potter battle.

All the new series heading to Max, including Penguin and Harry Potter
Colin Farrell in Max's Penguin spinoff.

HBO Max, as a brand, is no more. In its place, Warner Bros. Discovery is unveiling Max, the long-promised combination of HBO Max and Discovery+. And while the new Discovery shows don't exactly thrill us, the powers that be at WBD have dropped a lot of new information about Max original series that should help it hang on to the HBO crowd. And perhaps the biggest arrival is The Penguin, the upcoming spinoff from The Batman.
