Thanksgiving weekend is one of the busiest times of the year for the NFL. NFL games are played on Thanksgiving Day, Black Friday, Sunday, and Monday. Week 13 started with an entertaining game between the Detroit Lions (11-1) and Chicago Bears (4-11). The matchup came down to a mismanaged two-minute drill by the Bears, who ended up losing 23-20.

The Cincinnati Bengals (4-7) are the best four-win team in the NFL. However, the Bengals face an uphill battle to make the postseason. If the defense even slightly improves, the Bengals have the talent to go on a winning streak.

Things are going in the opposite direction for the Houston Texans (7-5). Houston stumbled in Week 12, losing 32-27 to an inferior Titans team. Houston still holds a two-game lead over the Indianapolis Colts in the AFC South. But another loss will put their stranglehold over the division in jeopardy.
The Jacksonville Jaguars (2-9) are the worst team in the NFL heading into Week 13. However, that’s a good thing when it comes to the draft. The Jaguars own the No. 1 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Will the Jaguars shut down quarterback Trevor Lawrence to facilitate a tanking strategy?

The Arizona Cardinals (6-5) would like to forget about their Week 12 loss to the Seahawks. Kyler Murray played arguably his worst game of the season. To make matters worse, the Cardinals are now tied with the Seahawks for first place in the NFC West.
At this point, it’s time to give the Minnesota Vikings (9-2) their credit. They deserve to be considered one of the NFC’s best teams. The Vikings made headlines this week by signing former Giants quarterback Daniel Jones to be Sam Darnold’s backup.

The switch to Anthony Richardson in Week 12 paid off as the Indianapolis Colts (5-7) picked up a massive 28-27 victory over the Jets. Richardson struggled in the passing game, but his two rushing touchdowns ended up being the difference.
The New England Patriots (3-9) played their worst game in months in their Week 12 loss to the Dolphins. While Drake May continues to improve, the coaching staff continues to let him down. That must change if the Patriots want to properly develop Maye.

With a win over the Cardinals, the Seattle Seahawks (6-5) moved into a tie for first place in the NFC West. Seattle’s defense showed massive improvements in Week 12, highlighted by a Coby Bryant interception return for a touchdown.
The New York Jets (3-8) still managed to generate news during their bye week. The organization fired general manager Joe Douglas. Several reports have come out since Douglas’ firing, with many highlighting the dysfunction and disconnect between the owner and staff.

Led by Will Levis’ two touchdowns, the Tennessee Titans (3-8) pulled off a 32-27 upset victory over the Texans. The Titans have won two of their last four games. The Titans’ defense will keep them in every game this season. It’s up to the offense to deliver some points.
The Washington Commanders (7-5) are not playing good football at the moment. Jayden Daniels has hit a wall during his rookie season. However, the defense has been the bigger issue, allowing at least 26 points in three consecutive losses.

The Carolina Panthers (3-8) lost to the Kansas City Chiefs in the game’s final seconds. Even in a loss, the Panthers are quickly gaining confidence and look like a more competent team. More importantly, Bryce Young is playing the best football of his young career.

Week 12’s performance by the Baltimore Ravens (8-4) is why many believe they’re good enough to win the Super Bowl. When Lamar Jackson plays like a two-time MVP, they’re virtually unbeatable. However, this season will be a failure if the Ravens don’t reach the Super Bowl.
