NFL Week 5 games today: schedule, channels, live streams for October 6

Week 5 of the NFL season began with an excellent game on Thursday Night Football. The Atlanta Falcons (3-2) scored on their opening drive in overtime to defeat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 36-30. Quarterback Kirk Cousins was flat-out spectacular, completing 42 of 58 passes for 509 yards, four touchdowns, and one interception.

There are 12 Week 5 NFL games that will be played on October 6. The best matchup during the day features the Bills taking on the Texans, while the night game between the Cowboys and Steelers should draw a monster TV rating. If you live outside of your favorite team’s market, look into buying NFL Sunday Ticket through YouTube TV for access to the day’s slate. The first London game of the NFL season features the New York Jets (2-2) taking on the Minnesota Vikings (4-0). The game will be played at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the United Kingdom. This is a revenge game for Vikings quarterback Sam Darnold, who played for the Jets from 2018 to 2020.

Bears are 6-1 against the Panthers since 2010.

Since switching to Andy Dalton at quarterback, the Carolina Panthers (1-3) have played much better on offense. In two games with Dalton, the Panthers have averaged 30 points per game, compared to 6.5 with Bryce Young.

The Chicago Bears (2-2) are far from a finished product. Rookie quarterback Caleb Williams is still experiencing growing pains to start the season. However, the Bears defense is elite, carrying the team to a 24-18 win over the Rams in Week 4.

After dropping their first two games of the season, the Baltimore Ravens (2-2) have won two consecutive games. Last week, the Ravens dismantled the Buffalo Bills 35-10 behind Derrick Henry’s 199 rushing yards and one touchdown.

The Cincinnati Bengals (1-3) finally ended their losing streak in Week 4, beating the Panthers 34-24. If the Bengals can beat the Ravens, they’ll be right back in the race for the AFC North.

After looking like the best team in the NFL through three weeks, the Buffalo Bills (3-1) suffered a setback in Week 4 with a 35-10 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. The Bills might have to look to the trade market for help at linebacker.

After an embarrassing loss in Week 3, the Houston Texans (3-1) edged out the Jacksonville Jaguars 24-20. Quarterback C.J. Stroud hit running back Dare Ogunbowale for a touchdown with 18 seconds left to win the game.

The Indianapolis Colts (2-2) may have lost their starting quarterback to injury, but Joe Flacco is the backup, and all he does is win improbable games. Flacco finished 16 of 26 for 168 yards and one touchdown in a Colts’ 27-24 win over the Steelers.

The Jacksonville Jaguars (0-4) have hit rock bottom. The Jaguars are the only team that has not won a game. If the Jaguars can’t beat the Colts, does their head coach get fired?

The Miami Dolphins (1-3) are in serious trouble if quarterback Tua Tagovailoa continues to miss time. Tyler Huntley will look to end the team’s three-game losing streak in Week 5.

When will Drake Maye start at quarterback? That’s the million-dollar question facing the New England Patriots (1-3). With the playoffs a long shot, perhaps it’s time to see what the rookie has and give him a chance.

The Cleveland Browns (1-3) have a problem, and his name is Deshaun Watson. The quarterback looks like a shell of himself compared to the guy who almost threw for 5,000 yards in a season with the Texans. Watson must turn it around soon before the season gets out of hand.

The Washington Commanders (3-1) have a legitimate starting quarterback for the first time in a long time. Rookie Jayden Daniels has been spectacular, with an NFL-leading completion percentage of 82.1%.

Unfortunately for the Las Vegas Raiders (2-2), the biggest storyline involves what’s going on off the field with Davante Adams. The wide receiver has requested a trade. Will the Raiders send Adams away before the trade deadline?

It wasn’t pretty, but the Denver Broncos (2-2) pulled out an ugly 10-9 win over the Jets. The Broncos are hoping for better weather on Sunday after playing during a rainstorm in Week 4.

Arizona Cardinals at San Francisco 49ers start time, channel, and live stream

The Arizona Cardinals (1-3) put up a stinker in Week 4, losing 42-14 to the Commanders. If the Cardinals want to get back on track, it all starts with quarterback Kyler Murray.

San Francisco 49ers (2-2) quarterback Brock Purdy has been playing well without some of his top weapons. Purdy completed 15 of 27 passes for 288 yards, one touchdown, and one interception in the 49ers’ 30-13 win over the Patriots.

After falling behind 28-0, the Green Bay Packers (2-2) cut the game to one possession before losing 31-29 to the Vikings. Having a healthy Jordan Love back will improve the Packers’ offense dramatically.

The Los Angeles Rams (1-3) are fighting an uphill battle. Quarterback Matthew Stafford is missing multiple offensive linemen and his top two wide receivers. Can Stafford pull a rabbit out of his hat and get the upset?

The New York Giants (1-3) simply don’t have enough talent to compete with the elite teams. The Giants played valiantly against the Cowboys, but ultimately, they couldn’t score a touchdown in their 20-15 loss.

The Seattle Seahawks (3-1) offense was terrific in Week 4, with Geno Smith throwing for 395 yards. Unfortunately for Seattle, their defense let Jared Goff complete 18 of 18 passes in a Lions’ 42-29 win.

Sunday Night Football features two of the premier organizations in the NFL. Coming off their win against the Giants, the Dallas Cowboys (2-2) head to Pittsburgh to take on the Steelers (3-1). While the Steelers defense will be at full strength, the Cowboys will be without top pass rushers Micah Parsons and DeMarcus Lawrence.
