Erlich explains ‘cuckold porn’ in a ‘Silicon Valley’ deleted scene

Silicon Valley season 3 has already come, gone, and snagged a slew of 2016 Emmy nominations, but fans still haven’t seen it all. With Silicon Valley: The Complete Third Season now on digital HD, Digital Trends is exclusively unveiling a deleted scene from the show.

The latest season of the HBO hit comedy features the quirky group of techies as they continue to cope with the challenges of launching a Bay Area-startup. Among the biggest is adjusting to the shocking season 2 ousting of CEO Richard (played by Thomas Middleditch). As their former leader is left reeling, the rest of the Pied Pipe team has to figure out how to respond.

In our exclusive clip, the wound is still fresh for Richard, and he is ready to leave the startup. However, Erlich (TJ Miller) tries to convince him not to cut and run. The investor’s argument is compelling, albeit extremely bizarre: Erlich makes his case by referencing cuckold porn — what he describes as “a disturbing yet effective sub-genre of pornography.” Basically, he considers Richard’s leaving the company to be akin to letting another man sleep with his wife.

Although the scene didn’t make the final cut, fans will enjoy the unusual analogy nonetheless; it goes much further than you might think it could. The clip is just one of the deleted scenes included in the digital HD release’s bonus features, which also include a series recap and the trailer.

The series, which also stars Zach Woods, Kumail Nanjiani, Gilfoyle Martin Starr, Matt Ross, Josh Brener, Suzanne Cryer, and Amanda Crew, was recently nominated for 11 Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Comedy Series, Outstanding Lead Actor (Thomas Middleditch), Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series (Alec Berg, Mike Judge), and Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series (Alec Berg, Dan O’Keefe). Silicon Valley: The Complete Third Season is available for download on iTunes, Google, Vudu, and Sony.

Rick Dalton’s return? Leo’s rumored offer for Once Upon A Time in Hollywood sequel
Leonardo DiCaprio puts his hands up while sitting next to Brad Pitt.

Earlier this month, reports of a Once Upon a Time…in Hollywood sequel at Netflix broke the internet. Luckily for cinephiles, the report was not an April Fool's Day joke. The trades later confirmed that David Fincher will direct the OUATIH follow-up from a screenplay by Quentin Tarantino, with Brad Pitt reprising his Oscar-winning role of Cliff Booth.

With Cliff back, the next logical question revolves around Rick Dalton. Would Leonardo DiCaprio return? DiCaprio has been in talks with Netflix for a potential return, which would likely be more of a cameo than a significant role.
