What’s happened? On October 24, 2025, NBA fans streaming with Amazon Prime Video will get access to new features for a better user experience. These features will improve areas like personalization, engagement, streaming quality, and AI integration. The new features are:

  • FanDuel integration for tracking bets and odds in real-time.
  • Fully customizable Multiview, which gives you the ability to simultaneously watch different NBA games on one screen, or across various screens.
  • Key Moments will show you short clips of the major highlights of the game.
  • Rapid recap, which uses AI to curate short videos of all key moments in the game.
  • Accessible in-game stats for any player on the court or the various teams playing.
  • HDR video and proprietary ultra-low latency tech.

Why is this important? The new features are part of a landmark 11-year streaming deal between the NBA and Amazon. It aims to make streaming the game more enjoyable for fans using the service. With the season preparing to officially start later this month, fans can expect a better viewing experience.

  • These new features will help you access more information on the game from their device’s screen.
  • Helps ensure you don’t miss any part of the game.
  • Gives you full control over which games they view.
  • All controls are built into the Amazon Prime Video viewing interface for accessibility.

  • The new features are available on an Amazon Prime Video subscription for $14.99 a month.
  • Users of other membership plans can also access these features.
  • Amazon is making these new features available on the web, mobile app, or smart TV.
  • All NBA games will be available in native 1080p High Dynamic Range (HDR) video and 5.1 surround sound.

Okay, what’s next? The 11-year streaming deal that led to the birth of these features also includes the WNBA league. So, by next year, when the WNBA league is back on screens, you’ll also be able to enjoy these features while streaming.

Some of the best series on Apple TV have earned great reviews, yet none of them get talked about nearly as much as they deserve. We also have guides to the best new movies to stream, the best movies on Netflix, the best movies on Hulu, the best free movies, and the best movies on Amazon Prime Video.
